MUST every car commercial have Magic Carpet Ride in the commercial?

I noticed that too, I mean they have no message behind their pitches. its just "buy this car, cause it exists!"..


yeah, but I totally agree that they have (no message).

 

You know, you really didn't need to edit that. Most cars don't have messages besides the 'buy it, it's better'

But back on topic, I remember one that used that song, but that was years ago.

 

I think they should start doing some with Rose Royce's "Car Wash" or "Fantastic Voyage."

 

The only ones I can remember that used "Magic Carpet Ride" were a Chevy commercial or two from a couple years ago, when they began their "An American Revolution" campaign with the "Car Carrier" commercial.

 

I have noticed that, but I still like that song

 

It isn't as bad as the Dell commercial that uses the song "You're Gonna Miss Me" by the 13th Floor Elevators.

Seriously. WHAT THE ****?!

 

I have never seen a car commercial with that song in it. In Australia most ads use AC/DC and alot of other Australian bands. What a suprise!

And for no particular reason Ford likes Alex Lloyd.

 

Cadillac has been using Led Zepplin for a while. So there!

 

What about movies with a motorcycle sequence using "Born to be Wild?" I hate that song because it is so over used.

 

"Magic Carpet Ride" is also currently being used in a Wendy's commercial.

 

And I hate them for it...b@$t@rd$...

Always seemed a bit pedophile-ish to me....
