Hey guys! I finally have pictures up for my Padme costume, and I'm sooooo excited to hear what you guys think about it! And one of my friends is dressed up in a bunch of sarongs in one of the pictures with me, don't mind her, she's just wierd like that. Hehe :) And these pictures are really bad, you can hardly see my face in them. But oh well.

Unless I am color blind...I definatly see it white.
and Trisha definatly said that is a White costume she wore under the grey cape.

I'm one of those seeing it as lightblue, but it doesn't matter, it will be recognized whether it's lightblue or white.

It is a lovley dress QueenLaniAmidala! :)

I have found the High Res pic of the White Tat. dress... here it is :
    http://padawansguide.com/padme/cape/padme_cape_new2.jpg

Don,t tell me that dress has BLUE shades in it...that is ridiculous...Trisha SAID it was White....IF ..and I say IF the dress is not White... it is more an ULTRA pale pale pale grey than a ultra pale blue...
I got a plain sheet at schoo...it looked white but when I recieved the other sheet..it was obviously grey...so I believe that if the dress is not totaly white...it has a very very slight variation of LIGHT VERY light grey.

Forgive my ignorance, but who is Trish?

I plan on making this costume for myself so this thread is of interest to me.

    BTW, Beautiful reproduction Queen! ;)

I had this same argument with Lelila :p

We saw teh movie recently while having teh argument. You really can't tell in teh desert pics, but in others you can. Plus I played with teh levels in photoshop, and forsomething thats while its got alot of blue in it.

    Go here: http://www.padawansguide.com/cape.shtml

Look at the first pic you see, then the vanity fair. You see it better when she has her cloak on.

    And...please Maggie don't kill me...

    http://www.padawansguide.com/padme/cape/forbidden_cape2.jpg

You can see its blue when its dark. So the fabric is super light blue, that would, with sunlight be a near white, but normally a very light blue.

    My $0.02 :)

    I vote for blue...

either way, it's hot. It takes a pretty tight stomach to wear that dress.

Trisha is the Clthes designer for AOTC dresses...so she really knows what she talks uh ?

she said that she wears awhite dress under the coat.

Did you ever noticed that if you put a white fabric under a grey or dark area...the shadow will reflect another color on the white fabric ?
it really does.. but that is totaly and absolutly not Blue.

and this pic has FULL light on the fabric...http://www.padawansguide.com/padme/cape/padme_cape_CIAK1.jpg

I really don't see where you see any kindo f blue shades in that color...

You know? It really doesn't matter if one person thinks it's blue and another swears it's white. As Obi Anne said, it'll be recognized either way. If you really want to debate color, do it with the ladies in the "official" thread. ;)

QueenLaniAmidala, you did a very nice job making it. *smile* I only hope that my attempt at it turns out half as well.

*Gorgeous* costume, by the way, QueenLamiAmidala. Wonderful job. One of these days, I'm making this costume...
