Hey everyone. For those of you who want to come up with some Star Wars names for your fan film (or just for fun), but have run out of combinations with that formula*. Well incase you don't know, there's a website that generates names automatically, without needing any sort of input.

    Here it is.

    http://swg.stratics.com/content/gameplay/characters/name.php

I just found it and thought it would be a good idea to inform everyone else.

I didnt like SWG, to boring for me. I like action filled games, like scrabble.

Dude, scrabble rocks. But if you want action-packed, try new eXXXXtreme scrabble! The word-game that you play UPSIDE DOWN! Hung from the bottom of an ICE CLIFF! Thousands of feet in the AIR! Up above LAVA!

...ok, sorry. I'm kind of sleep-deprive at the moment.
Uh... old news? Besides, I can think up names on my own just fine. Like, uh, H'byyjif Kagin! Now that's a cool name. Brought to you by hitting the keyboard with a book and pronouncing it. It's a delicate art.

When ever I try to think of names I just look around my room, find a word and try to say it backwards...and just go from there.

I wish my family played scrabble.

    Or Baulderdash. That owns.

But for names, I just take an object in real life, and twist the letters around to get a phonetic sound, then turn that into a name. Or I use my Serbian friend to translate things about a character to Serbian, then just use that word as their name.

I wish my character's name for Knighthood was Lochlann instead of Markell...ahwell ;)

I'd use Irish names, but then I'd be using my own family members' names far too often. That's why VERY foreign things work better.

I called myself Master Farlander on kotorII, so all the characters in the game assumed my first name was master. Dumb game. Anyway, you could try the george lucas approach.

One fine day Mr. Lucas goes into the kitchen to make himself a sandwich.
Personally, he perfers hot chicken and peanut butter sandwiches.

Mr. Lucas: Dum da dum... Workin' hard on episode I. Alright, hot chicken peanut butter sandwich here I come. I still need to think up a name for that character I've been working on.

Mr Lucas pulls out some chicken, puts it on a plate, places it in the microwave
and turns the microwave on. Then he goes to retrieve a JAR of peanut butter.

Mr. Lucas: I'll just get this JAR of peanut butter open for my sandwich...Wait! Jar! That's what I'll call him! Jar! Hmm....Jar....... Jar.... Jar. Jar. Jar-jar. Yes! Jar-jar!

A duck quacks loudly outside Mr Lucas' kitchen window.

Mr. Lucas: Ah ha! He'll look like a duck. Of course!

He continues to spread peanut butter on the
slice of bread he's been working on.

Mr. Lucas: Now, i just need a last name for him. Jar-jar...

    Microwave: Bing.

Mr. Lucas: Bing. Hmm. Jar-jar Bing? Jar-jar bling? Jar-jar Bings? Bings? Bin...ks. Binks! Jar-jar Binks!!!!!

    Use Irish names

    Jedi Master Paddy O'Shea

    Jedi Knight Murphy O'Neil

Not quite the same ring as Qui-Gon Jinn or Kit Fisto etc [face_mischief]

Kit Fisto is probably the best character name in all of Star Wars.

Ya know, I wander if the random name generator (RNG) has ever generated a real name from Star Wars.
