Natalie Portman and Audrey Hepburn, is there a relation?

Anyone ever watched "Roman Holiday?" Audrey Hepburn playes a princess who goes on holiday with an average joe. Even though this movie is in black and white I cannot help but think, "Man she looks alot like Natalie Portman."

I don't know, is it just me? Or does she look like Natalie in this movie? Or maybe its just because they play similiar roles? I don't know. What do you guys think.

 

Natalie has been referred to as "The New Audrey Hepburn"...

 

Are you serious? Natalie Portman isn't even all that attractive.

 

I always thought Portman sort of resembled Hepburn in this picture...but maybe it's just me.

I forgot what mag. I was looking at (Allure or People or one of those) and they compared a set of pictures of Audrey and Natalie, since Natalie was wearing some dress that looked like something Audrey wore. Ad I think in Vogue, right when AotC came out, Natalie said she really like Audrey Hepburn (though I would have look that up to make sure).

Now we just have to wait for Natalie to be included in the Gay patheon of goddesses

 

And have you noticed how Brad Pitt looks just like James Dean? I swear, if they're not related, they're the same person! OMG LOL

Audrey Lookalikes

Sean Ferrer, Hepburn's son, was quoted as to saying that he would have preferred Portman or possibly Calista Flockhart to have portrayed his mother in the biopic, instead of Jennifer Love Hewitt (BLECH!!!)

Portman has the same basic style and grace, but if you want to go for look alikes, Calista Flockhart is almost a DEAD RINGER for Audrey. If she dyed her hair, she could be Audrey's twin.


I LOVE Audrey Hepburn, she is my idol. She was more than just beautiful-she was talented, kind, graceful, and intelligent. She was also a humanitarian who spent much of her time doing charity, and was most proud not of her acting accomplishments, but of her work as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.

I don't see that much of a resemblance. They're both female and brunette and pretty ... otherwise, no.

I thought Hepburn was British...I can never remember these things though...except sometimes...OK, I'll shut up.

EDIT: Well, it used to say she was American, which I was almost positive wasn't true.

 

NOOO!!! Hepburn is Dutch-British. Her father, James Hepburn, was British, and her mother was Dutch nobility-I believe either Audrey's mother or her grandmother was a lady-in-waiting to the Queen of the Netherlands, though don't quote me on that.

I agree, the physical resemblance isn't there much, it's just that they seem to have the same sense of style.

 

Natalie Portman could be the "new" Audrey Hepburn, if she got that one great romantic comedy that showcases her talent and allure. There is a resemblance, though I feel Natalie is a tad more beautiful, which is an indication of how beautiful I think Natalie is.

A funny sidenote: remember the AUDREY HEPBURN STORY that aired on ABC a couple of years ago starring Jennifer Love Hewitt? Anyone think she is related to Audrey?

You know when I was watching the Audrey Hepburn story, I was expecting to see Natalie Portman playing her, instead I saw her. And Jennifer does not look like her at all, not even that graceful.

 

Actually, Guinastasia, Audrey's parents were Baron and Baroness to the Queen of the Netherlands.

Portman bears more resemblance to the tree next to Hepburn's grave tahn to Hepburn. So far as acting ability goes, Hepburn had barrels and Portman seems to have spilled her teacup.

 

Ah, I knew they were someway connected.

Jennifer Love Hewitt-yuck. She's a total airhead who only wanted to play dress up. She signed onto the project early enough to be executive producer-then cast HERSELF as Hepburn.

From what I've heard, it was pretty bad.

 

I haven't seen it.

James Dean is by far the coolest person of the 20th Century.

Don't even try to compare Hayden Christensen to him, or any other boy toy phony (Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, etc) for that matter.

I realize your joking, but any attempt to undermine the coolness that is James Dean, makes my blood boil.
