I just was changing channels when I saw Natalie Portman on Late Night with David Letterman. She was there to plug her movie, Closer. As I was watching, her attitude was very "snob-ish", and I was suprised to see her act like she was "above" being on the Letterman Show. For those who live on the west coast, check it out when it comes on later tonight.

Did anyone else see this and get the same impression? What a wench...

She always seems this way to me. She thinks she's gonna get the Oscar because she plays a stripper.

One thing I don't like is how everyone milks the degree she has. I don't want to to sound condescening myself, but I'd like to see her try architecture school.

(with no knocks against the liberal arts)

Half the reason she got into Harvard was because of who she is.

She didn't seem snobbish to me. Very bubbly and a little excited but nice enough.

I'm sure she was nervous. Plus, have you ever actually be IN that studio? Dave likes to keep it cold in there so the audience is always at attention.

She's been on Dave's show at least 10 times, the first right after the Professional. I doubt she was nervous about it.

...i saw it, and yes she did come across as a bit snobbish, but i've always thought that about her..

Everytime i've seen her in an interview and STAR WARS is brought up, she gets all uppity and "i'm so embarassed i'm doing that" like..

I'm still torn on whether she really IS a snob (which i'm sure to SOME degree she is) or if she's just a little strange....

No one hates Star Wars, she just hates getting filmed in front of a green screen. Can you blame her?

Ahh, bless you OPPM, for keeping me from flooding the boards!

So does everyone who's acted in the PT, apparently. Well, except for Hayden.

The green screen gives Hayden an excuse.

Yeah that's fairly obvious, i suppose, but i'm not sure that it's entirely indicative of her being a snob, ya know?

I mean, Terrence Stamp hated HIS Star Wars experience, but he's normally a pretty decent bloke..

Of course, there's only 3 of the 'major' players in the Prequels who i HAVEN'T heard badmouthing the films:

Christopher Lee, Hayden Christensen and Sam Jackson..

EDIT: you guys post fast :p

What I liked, was when the chick who plays Taun We was even badmouthing the prequels. She was saying TPM sucked, but AOTC was great - yeah, bash the film you're not in!

It is vair depressing when the Star Wars actors and actresses don't like being in Star Wars. Personally, I would love to be in SW, even PT.

Well, if Natalie Portman comes off as snobbish, I guess that's just a result of fame and all that. And you know, regardless of the reasons she may or may not have gotten into Harvard, it's still cool that she spent time out of acting to pursue a degree. Most celebrities don't do that.

If I remember correctly, Christopher Lee was quite positive about Lucas and the PT.

I don't think any of us have touched on what she was (or wasn't) actually wearing. When I saw her walk out I thought she was gonna pull a Tara Reid for a second.
