I downloaded som mods for Jedi Outcast, but when I try to load them, my computer stops working. I'm not sure if it's just an unlucky choice of mods, or if I'm doing something wrong.

I also can't figure out how to load weapon packs.

[color=indigo]Hopefully you have enough info here to get you started. Also make sure you extract & read the readme.txt files included in all mod ZIPs - they will give detailed installation instructions.

If you need further assistance, please use the thread we have set up for this very purpose. Thanks. :)

I put the file in the gamedata folder inside another folder. Then when I try to load it, it shows me a gray screen and won't respond.

    Quick guide.

Character models, skins, lightsaber hilts, maps all go in the base folder as .pk3 files.

Jedimod, Omnimod, Forcemod etc all go inseperate folders inside the gamedata directory.

If there is anything wrong it's your choice of mods.

I hope you're not trying to use the mods for Single Player. Most of the mods out there are designed for Multiplayer, and MP/SP are different executables.

    What bliv said. :p

Bliv could it be said that Flyboy_7 is loading to manny mods at once.
    Let me explain myself.
Do you think his computer is crashing because to many mods are being used?
What if he placed the mods he didn't use in his documents and tried loading only one mod, would that work?
    I'm knew to this stuff!

No, you should be able to place as many mods in the gamedata folder as you want. When you go into singleplayer or multiplayer you select the mod from options/loadmod or something like that. When you are in single player you can only load single player mods like the Dark Forces Demo. Ditto for multiplayer.

It's nothing to do with models, skins etc. I've got a lot installed in my base directory and the game runs fine.

Another thing not to do is bother with exe files. Just use the load mod feature that comes with the game.
