So, I was watching my friend coughpiratedcough version of AOTC. Any way during the Battle of Geonosis right when they show Kit Fisto pushing over C-3PO/Battle Droid, they show this jedi in the back with a greenish robe on. Just a thought that this could be Neeja. Kind of cool though.
Neat thought... But I don't GL knew about it...maybe some costume designer slipped it in, like with the notorius shoe at the battle of Endor.
Yeah, that could be. I also read in the new essential guide of characters that Jerec was in AOTC also.
I know this question si going to sound terribly dumb to most of you Expanded Universe masters, but, who is Neeja Halycon???
I know this question si going to sound terribly dumb to most of you Expanded Universe masters, but, who is Neeja Halycon??? Ok, sergejg, Neeja Halcyon was a Corellian Jedi Master who died at the end of the Clone War(s). He was survived by his son and Padawan, Valin. As the Empire rose and Jedi began to be hunted, Neeja's friend and CorSec (Corellian Security) Officer Rostek Horn adopted Valin and married Neeja's widow -- seems Corellians don't care much about the Jedi Code's No-Attachment rule -- then falsified records to show that Valin was in fact his own son. Valin's name was changed to Hal (honoring his true surname, Halcyon) Horn. Hal Horn would later sire former Rogue Squadron ace and now Jedi Master Corran Horn.
Jerec wasn't in AotC, he was out on the Rim at the time I believe. His profile is just next to the "Jedi at Geonosis" entry but isn't meant to be part of it.
I remember seeing the guy in green robes during the scene, too. I like to think of him as Nejaa, but if you go by holonetnews, it's not him because he was elsewhere. Also, even if you choose to disregard holonetnews, I don't recall seeing him around after Yoda's group showed up, so I don't know if the green-robed Jedi survived.
It seems less likely that it would be Neeja. This is the start of the Clone Wars, remember. Neeja would seem to be busy in the Corellian sector at the start of the Clone Wars, especially considering the fact that Corellian Jedi tend to be rogues within the order and are really concerned with the protection of their home sector. So word would not have yet reached him of the need for Jedi to help deal with these wars. Mace would seem more likely to first recruit Jedi from the main order for the rescue mission before turning to the more rogue members of the order as it would seem that he would feel he could trust them more in battle with his life. Even the rogue members within the main order could be relied on more in battle with his life than the more rogue Jedi who do not seem to follow the council. That said, the idea that Neeja could actually be in AotC is, personally, very cool. It would be just one more bit of the EU that appears in the movies. That had an affect on them.
The shoe: During the filming of the battle of endor, George or someone high up kept having them reshoot a certain scene over and over. So some of the guys got a shoe, and stuck it in a single frame, if you are very careful you can see it...
Has anyone ever seen that shoe? I've heard about for more than a decade, and I've never come across anyone whose ever found it.

Interesting that you should mention this, because it was just prior to the Clone Wars that Corellia closed down its borders, and then reopened them again. It seems as if there is something of a different philosophical mindset among the Corellians that they place local patriotism above their loyalties to any galactic organization. And I think that it would be very, very creatively worthwhile for a writer to delve more fully into this psyche, and could take things into different sociological directions than what we typically see in a Star Wars story. And I know that John Ostrander, among others, is fascinated with exploring the cultural dynamic that produces a Jedi Knight's warrior-ethicality, and whether or not one or more of them would, say, be morally-conflicted enough to renounce his/her values during the Clone Wars. How would they deal with it, emotionally? Would they hold their commitment to non-violence ABOVE the needs of the Republic (as much as those "needs" are being cooked and manipulated by Dooku and Palpatine)? Ought they take a stand and declare that they will not be a party to this state of affairs? Fair questions. And ones that arise more often in so-called "serious" literary works, and not really dealt with in great depth even in George Lucas's own films.
