https://movieweb.com/netflix-narnia-greta-gerwig-meryl-streep-aslan-casting/ I’m sure this is going to be a fun time on the internet. It’s interesting they’re starting with The Magician’s Nephew too.
Never had much interest in Narnia, but I’m ride or die for Greta Gerwig, so I’ll probably check this out at some point.

Meryl Streep? The anti woke are going to have a field day with Aslan being not being male Thats if it isn't an elaborate April Fools
Magician's Nephew was far and away one of the best (the forest of portal pools? the eerie post-apocalypse world? the Witch tearing up London with the cab-turned-chariot?). Plus the kids don't get along most of the time, if they follow the book right. You expect it to follow the usual "misfit boy and girl neighbors end up together" plot, but they become more like allies and go their separate ways later. The only "romance" is the mad scientist pining over the Witch. The story breaks so many standard fantasy stereotypes, especially for its time. Eh, it's probably an April Fools gig. But it would be fun. If they did it right.
I mean the Greta Gerwig adaptation of this series was announced months ago. So that part is definitely not April Fools.
Ha, I forgot Liam Neeson was Aslan. Not one of his better performances. Very deadpan. Not every live action voice actor is cut out to do voice over. His Clone Wars lines weren't great either.
