New Collecting Forum Banner *Official Thread*

So..it's been awhile now, and I don't know about you but I'm getiing bored with this vanilla coke layout. And I remember awhile back someone posted a thread about a possible new banner, at about the same time every other forum was also having a banner contest, and I believe Neck said that when they were done we could have a contest...So, yeah, they're done..can we have one now, if enough people are in compliance?

MJF and I discussed this a few months back when the idea of a new banner was first brought up, and we both agreed it was about time for a new contest, but a few other forums already had contests running at that time so we wanted to hold off till late July early August I think it was. Well, obviously it got put on the back burner and never happened for whatever reason, but considering there are no other forums currently having banner contests at this time (that I know of at least) I think we can look forward to finally doing this. Let me quickly talk it over with the rest of the MS and MJF and hopefully we can get something started up in the next few weeks.

 

As Mr. Neck posted, we will try to get a contest started in the next few weeks. In the meantime, you can start work on your submissions. I'll also try to think of a cool prize to give away to the winner. Perhaps a silver Boba Fett?

Just wondering, why does simply posting a thread saying "Collecting Banner Contest!" need to take a few weeks to post?

Why not just take like 3 minutes to post it?

 

Hey Sithy, Maybe Mr.Neck & MJF just figure it will give us artistic types a little more time to work on our submissions

I'm ready for a new banner also. This color is just really stale.

 

To clarify why we simply can't just post a thread saying "banner contest", all such contests need to be approved first by TFN administration. For the last banner contest, I was in discussion back and forth a few weeks before we were allowed to have the contest. Also, if we decide to give as a reward, VIP status to the winner of the contest, we also need their permission for that as well. Even though I am personally providing a prize to the winner of the contest, again, they need to approve that as this is their forum and they make all the rules.

 

Ah, gotcha. Makes sense to me.

Alright! A banner contest at last!! I was getting tired of that Macaully Culkin Anakin there at the top.....and the brown was getting boring.

While I've got tons of ideas for a new banner, I don't have the technology to make one. If someone wants suggestions or to know my ideas just PM me. Don't worry....I don't want any share in the prize.

 

I just thought I'd post my idea here,just so everybody'll know I'm not copying anyone

I plan on doing a banner with the main image being of dexters diner.I thought it would fit in with the tap cafe theme nicly and of course it would have toys on it! what'de you guys think?
