New Features For EA SPORTS Games in 2004

Now i'm a big fan of sports games, i own madden, fifa and nhl. Ok so for 2004 wut do u think should be added to improve these games. I'll start things off. I think Fifa should have every tournament in which most international teams compete i.e euros, world cup etc. (Like Fifa 2002 did) ur thoughts on any more new features to the EA sports games u'd like added?

 

not too many sports fans out there? Come on we all say to ourselves at one time or another "I hope they put this in next year" I hope that EA will listen to fans more and try to apply to their intersests.

so what do u think should be put in in ur favourite EA sports or actually any other sports game for that matter.

 

I want them to be able to download new rosters off the net for the consoles. After all Xbox and PS2 are both online now.

HONESTLY. Ninjas? I THINK they should put the deek button back into fifa and NBA I mean its pretty screwed up and hard to use

 

For NHL 2004

1) Better control over the players. Rather then just pick a style of offense I want to be able tell each player how to play in the set up. For example, if you have a powerfoward like Nolan you should be able to order them to stand in front of the net to tip shots or knock in rebounds

2) Better trading system. The game already rates teams by offense, def. goalies etc... Rather then go simply by a rating system teams should trade according to strenghts and weakness. If a team has a strong offense and weak def. they would be willing to trade a great offense player for a good def. one. We should also be able to trade draft picks and money.

3) Money. Each team should get a specific amount of money each game. Then, the better you play the money fans come, the more money you get to pay players with. If you can't pay your players you have to trade them or put them on waivers.

4) Farm teams. Each team should have one farm team that can hold 12 players. A player on a farm can can improve (only to a certain point). Then if you need another player you can call them up. For example, if you draft a player with a 60 rating but a 90 potential you can put that player in the farm team and he could improve up to a 75 rating.


5) Contracts. The free agent system in the NHL series SUCKS. When you try to sign a free agent they shoudl ask for a certain amount of money and # of years. Each team that wants that player will offer what they are willing (what the player wants, less or more). The player then goes to team with the best offer. They should also include - the players age (young players what more ice time while an older player wants to win the cup etc...), the players past (if he's played for one team for 10 years he's more likly to stay there) and things like that.

6) Team cemestry. The longer you play two players on the same line, the better they play together. If they play together a lot they make passes better, set each other up better etc.... When you change the line (for whatever reason) that is either totally lost, or reduced.

It's not that I'm not a huge sports fan. It's the EA games. They really don't do anything for me. They are always pretty much the same year in, year out with roster updates and minor gameplay enhancements. Being Scottish, the American sports titles aren't high on my list of wanted games either. FIFA would be the most appealing of the titles if it wasn't for Konami and it's far superior Pro Evolution Soccer series.

 

Ladka. U took the words out of my mouth.I've beeen considering those things for a long time, that would really enhance the gameplay and its overall presentation and boundaries. nice job!
Also in NHL 2004 for international play you should be able to have a blank team and pick ur players ala the EA Storm and EA blades teams and the computer selects the rest of the teams rosters according to Salt Lake(They should have an Olympic format for this) Also the jerseys should be updated, the Canadian team jersey is not like the one they provide. For Fifa 2004 International play should have all of the tournaments 2002 did including the World Cup. I also think like Nhl 2004 you shhould be able to pick your international squad the way you want. In fifa u can't even change player #'s and Names. U used to be able to!

O.k just finishin playing nhl 2003. i really think that they should be more realistic in regards to injuries. if a persons been injured a # of times to a spcific area they should be more likely to suffer that injury again.Madden is a pretty solid game. My only complaint is..hmmm.I'm alwayz seeing the same teams when I reach the superbowl. I mean its alwayz the rams or eagles from the nfc.(I'm usually an afc team) i think that on ocassion some team should overthrow these tyrants. Other then that i'm liking what has been suggested

my favorite EA game heck my favorite game right now period since the day i bought it was ncaa football 2003. the improvemnets i would like to see are:

1)85 man rosters- come on EA lets be realistic here.

2)all incoming recruits from this year i want in the game. hell i will email EA the recruits names etc.

3)more pre-game and post-game coverage of the game.

4)improve the entrances. i want to see when playing with notre dame i want to see them touching the play like a champion today sign.

5)more variety of plays and formations especially on the defensive side because all the plays are still the same for each team and its been like that for years.

 

For Nhl 2003, maybe they could follow in the footsteps of madden and make the actual coaches instead of the same guy over and over again.Oh and EVERY goalie should have their actual mask. the back up goalies all virtually where the same type of mask

 

For Madden 2003 I would also like to see the downloadable rosters, it's really hard to keep updating. Also when u make it to the superbowl the crowd should be 50-50 not booing the team who is "away" Also fan attendance should be a factor in all the games. When ur team is doing very well you should be sold out but when your team is lagging u should drop in attendance

 

Big fan here. I own MVP Baseball 2003, NHL 2003, and Madden 2003. Like them all very much, proly MVP the most. Best baseball game I've ever played.

I would like to see them expand the minor league system even more. I think it's a great realistic part of franchise mode.

 

Yup we need to be able to go to our farm teams for a little help. This would fit well in mlb and nhl. And for fifa please please put the deak button back in.

 

I am an absoloute sorts fan especially football. i n madden though i think when you get classic teams it should also have the names of the players instead of number and position

 

yea i've noticed that to, I mean I want to see the name of Dan Marino when i'm playing with a classic team

 

Yea.not as i see youre a dolphins fan. i want to see players like Joe Nammoth or john madden. Even players like Joe Montanna

 

Well first of all I would like EA to put more work into their non-American games. Although Rugby was a solid game it could have been better if they had gone and put the Super 12's in it.

THey made one back in 1996 it's time for an update. Us down in Australia are craving for our own sport game- hell Acclaim made a stupid AFL game.

 

I am a HUGE Madden Fan! I have Madden NFL 2003 for the GameCube, and I did play the crud out of it! 5 complete seasons and 2 Super-Bowl victories... I am highly looking forward to Madden NFL 2004 this comming August.

Madden 2003 was one of most addicting games around!

But for Improvements for the 2004 Version, I'd say this-


1) I WANNA BE ABLE TO TRADE PUNTERS AND KICKERS!

2) Better Crowd Noises

3) More Excitement at Super Bowl games.

4) On-line play for the Nintendo GameCube!

5) Exclusive Nintendo GameCube features such as the GameCube-to-GameBoy Advance link up as in the 2003 version.

as is fifa..i think. anywho i like the fact that in madden u'll be able to fix up things in your stadium training facilities hire staff and even change stadium if i understood correctly and the graphics are amazing for them all, i'm just a little mad i chose to buy alot of sports games in 2003.. ah well i'l trade them in and get a discount.. i'm that confident

And NCAA sounds like a little more fun too
