New Jedi Order Lightsabers

We know that under Luke's new Jedi Order that there was a wider variety of crystals and a greater acceptance of saber diversity. I was trying to recollect what color blades everyone has. Naturally, some of the below either haven't appeared enough or never had their lightsaber colors mentioned.

Is Kyp's amethyst? I was pretty sure it's silver. I could be misremembering.

I don't recall Kyp wielding a silver blade. It's possible...I'll check some sources and see if I messed that one up.

 

Kyle used Yun's saber for a while too, which was yellow. IIRC the only saber we ever saw Rosh Penin with was Red.

 

Leia is an official knight since the Swarm War trilogy.

 

Tionne's blade is silver in Lightsabers, IIRC.

 

In JA, we see Rosh Penin wielding only a red saber, but that was after his fall to the Dark Side.

Cilghal had a yellow lightsaber, if I recall correctly. At least that was so on Luke and Mara's wedding.

 

Saba, Corran, and Kyle Katern are not Jedi Masters? I don't follow the labels too closely but I would have assumed they were. Horn and Katern WERE/ARE on the council, afterall....

I was thinking that too, Saba and Corran were both labeled as 'Jedi Masters' in TSW, and i'm fairly sure Kyle is considered one as well, he was/is on the council, and i mean he's Kyle Frakkin' Katarn!

Oh yeah and i believe Raynar's lightsaber at the end of TSW was gold.

 

I think Alema's lightsaber is described as white in Star by Star and indigo in Tempest.

 

Unless you're aiming for everyone's status as of the Vong War, you've got some of the ranks a bit off.

Horn, Katar, Tionne Solusar, and Saba Sebatyne, as is I believe Madurrin. Most of the "young knights" are, obviously, no longer young, and Organa Solo is now a Knight.

 

The list is during the Vong War. I apologize for not stating that. I assumed that was obvious considering the title of my thread.

That aside, I appreciate the input. I didn't know Cilghal had a yellow blade.

 

Daeshara'cor had a red one in Dark Tide.
Streen used a blue/silver one in Leviathan.
Rosh Penin used a yellow prior his fall to the dark side, but it may have just been a training saber.

 

I just presumed you meant Luke's new order generally, but understood.

I am surprised at one thing though, i had not realised Kyp was seemingly made a master so long before Corran, i always felt Corran was the more mature, and had a deeper understanding of the force etc. At least thats the impression i got from I,Jedi, and admitadly it could be argued that the author who wrote that was biased.

Leia Organa Solo- Red (I took out Leia's blue saber since that's really only in the DNT that she gets that one--IIRC, she uses her red one in Star by Star to defend Fey'lya, Wedge, Lando, and Garm)

*Okay, so we need some confirmation on these two. I thought I remembered Kyp's blade being described as amethyst in Dark Journey, but I don't have my books available to me since they're back home. But, I checked out Wookieepedia and it does show that Kyp has a yellow blade in the NJOSB and a red one in Leviathan. Additionally, we don't really know which blade Kyle Katarn has. He has a green one in Jedi Knight and a blue one in Jedi Outcast.

And does anyone recall if Cilghal's lightsaber was ever described in the JAT or Darksaber?

 

Kyle's green saber was destroyed in Jedi Knight. He used a yellow saber as a replacement but later constructed his own blue one. That's the one he's used since then on.

Cilghal's blade should be described in Darksaber along with Kyp's and Dorsk 81's in the knighting scene near the beginning of the book.

 

I remember that scene, but as far as I can think, it doesn't mention the lightsaber colors. The only think I remember is that Cilghal's lightsaber hilt resembles a MonCal Cruiser.

Also, Kirana Ti used Gantoris' lightsaber during JAT, which was purple.

I guess I never gave it much thought before but why in the hell would Leia take up a Red Saber. I mean after all the "I don't want to be like Vader. I don't want my kids to be like Vader." Suddely it's like "Oh, a pretty Red Saber." She may as well have said "Hey Luke. I'm having some trouble with politicals. Some of these senators just don't shut up. Is there any way to use the force to Choke them so they stop talking......."

When i saw the depiction of her on the cover of SbS i thought the saber looked a more Pinkish red, a Sith red is usually Crimson i believe, wouldn't be much of a stretch for there to be different shades of red. Please correct me if its been explicitly stated she uses a Crimson red saber anywhere...

 

There's some discrepancy here, too. In all the pictures of Jaina from the NJO series, she has a blue blade. Yet, I do recall (possibly in one of the Dark Tide novels), Jaina's blade being described as violet...
