With two seperate Sith groups/orders existing concurrently (Lost Tribe and One Sith), is there going to be a "turf war" or possible merger in the near future with the "main current-era series"?

You have the Lost Tribe cavorting around with the Skywalker Boys, while the One Sith of Darth Krayt also are out and have been active, with Lumiya having sought them out at one point.

So which is it? If find it unlikely that there will continue to be two Sith orders existing in ignorance of each other.

I'd like to see a power struggle complete with philosophical differences and Dark Side powers at play...

The Lost Tribe could be used as a method of allowing the One Sith to act more prominently prior to SW Legacy with the Jedi writing it off as the actions of the Lost Tribe. More so than Caedus' "lightning rod," this allows them to openly act while masquerading their actions as those of the other group, so that when the other group is ultimately dealt with, the Jedi return to complacency.

Considering the amount of Sith under the control of Darth Krayt in the Legacy comics, I'd say that Lost Tribe eventually merge into the One Sith....possibly by force. I could see Krayt or one of the Wyyrlok's killing the Lost Tribe's Sith Lord.

Krayt's order is a bunch of posers. They use the tattoos of a group of slaves. :p

Surely there'd be some kind of interaction at some point, but what you're really asking is "how do you think FotJ will end", so it's hard to speculate, I think. For all we know, the Lost Tribe could be totally wiped out in a few books' time.

Quite. It's possible that the Lost Tribe will die en masse, flee to the dark corners of the galaxy, convert to the light side en masse, or be utterly consumed by Abeloth so she can use them as minions to consummate her reign of...well whatever she intends exactly, upon the galaxy. I favor the latter option personally, since they really need to combine the two threats anyway, and the Lost Tribe is no longer necessary as an entity now that Vestara has split with them (it also gets around that annoying 'you killed my father!' problem that has been orbiting Vestara for a while).

In fact, it's possible that Darth Krayt has some idea what Abeloth is/is capable of and wants to stay as far away as possible.

I think the Tribe will be pretty much wiped out fairly soon, one way or another.

I pretty much figure that what is left of the Lost Tribe will merge into the One Sith. In fact I feel it is an easy way for them to show how the One Sith got so big in such a rather short time.

Do you really consider 90 years a short time?

It is not as if the one sith are going out and getting themslves killed by sticking their noses in Galactic powerplays. prior to Legacy.

Well no I guess it isn't that short a time. I always felt that the One Sith got rather big, rather quickly, relatively speaking. Adding Lost Tribe Sith makes it more plausible to me.

Exactly. 90 years is a very short time to gather that many force-users and go without notice from the Jedi. What really kills me is that the Jedi (knowing the dangers of the planets Korriban and Zoist) do not have Jedi scouts that check these areas every once in awhile. But then again, the Jedi aren't known for their smarts.

This partly goes into speculation about how FotJ ends, but most likely, most of the Lost Tribe will probably be dead by the end of the series, with the probable exception of Vestara (it'd be very surprising if they killed her off too... but it would also be normal for how the novels work too, though, sadly enough).

The Tribe could also escape into the galaxy, and then get hunted down, either by the Jedi and/or killed and/or recruited by Krayt's One Sith. Although if there was a big whole shadow war between the Tribe and the One Sith, the Jedi would sure look stupid for not noticing it. I'm already slightly annoyed by just how active the One Sith are in the novels already (LotF, FotJ, Crosscurrent, and who knows what else). It was bad enough during the prequel era when a lot of things led back to Palpatine with the Jedi none the wiser, it'd be stupid if the novels just fell back on that trick again (mysterious Sith figures). Although I could see the novels relying on that kind of story too.

It'd be nice if Luke managed to somehow talk them down, or even beat them down enough so that they would surrender and/or they could be taken captive by the NJO, and then locked up with yslamiri for life and/or until they could be rehabilitated. Although I'd rate that as the most unlikely as the novels usually just kill off their villains, the way FotJ is going I doubt it'd be that clean and happy an ending. Not to mention while it'd be awesome to see Luke pull off an incredible feat like that (defeating the Sith without killing them), I seriously doubt the novels would portray Luke as that powerful.

There's also the sorta minor loose end about Ship sorta vaguely mentioning the One Sith to the Tribe when it arrived on Kesh. Although I expect that detail will just be forgotten, unless Vestara is killed too so she can't blab about the One Sith. Which would seem odd with how it looks like she's going to be Ben's girlfriend in the near future, and it'd be such a waste to kill her... but that would be normal for the novels too, though. But whatever the Tribe's fate will be, it probably won't relate to them knowing about the One Sith too much, not sure minor details like that matter all that much in the novels.

Hopefully we'll be left with just the One Sith by the end of this series. While the Lost Tribe e-books have been pretty good, that's mainly because of the author's skill more than anything else, in my opinion, and I have never liked the idea of yet another huge Sith group just showing up out of nowhere. Although it'd be funny if the Legacy comics (if there are any more issues by the time FotJ ends) throw in a reference like "Oh, Caedus was a lightning rod, diverting attention away from Krayt. As were the Tribe. As were that other Sith threat the next book series will introduce," etc., etc. :p I'm hoping for an epic ending at least, but even that might be too much to expect.

What else can one conclude when someone a scouting mission to check if a small group returns to a planet. Unless you have an everything sensor, that locks on to whatever (sapiance,Technobabble readings) its going to take a damn long time to scout any planet.

Especially if that population is hiding, or is very low, such as a few hundred, or thousand.

A lot of star wars fans seem to associate planets as cities.

Every time someone says "Jacen burned Kashyyyk" I have to state if he did there would be no biosphere, and little if any atmosphere, it would be a totally uninhabitable chunk of rock.

I don't see the Lost Tribe merging with the One Sith unless they are mostly wiped out since there just isn't that many One Sith at this point. There were only 30 members of the One Sith a few years earlier which was shown in Crosscurrent excluding the Sith Troopers who don't show up for another hundred years. I just hope that there are not any more Sith groups until the One Sith since it is getting ridiculous and the only Sith group that I take seriously right now is the One Sith while the Lost Tribe just isn't that good to me.

To echo melkor and Likewater, I find it unlikely that:

    (a) a group who style themselves as the heirs of the true Sith are going to go and paint themselves with the tattoos of their former slaves (who they showed a distinct dislike of in the Lost Tribe e-books), not only because it would be lowering themselves to the same level as the Massassi, but also because the Kesh champion beauty above all else -- grotesque stylised arcane tattoos is hardly in keeping with Vestara being looked down on for a tiny scar on her lip; and,

    (b) the One Sith are going to go and risk exposing themselves to a hostile cult that -- per Ship's assessment, for just one example -- only requires one single member to take issue with the One Sith's doctrine and advertise its existence to the galaxy at large. Up to this point, Krayt has been contacting former Emperor's Hands, former Inquisitors, darksiders he met during the Yuuzhan Vong War, and others who he believes he can either trust and/or be certain won't rat him out for their own gain (of course, Lumiya very nearly did exactly that).

Krayt's are the NEW Sith who wants nothing to do with the Sith of old. The Lost Tribe would be a pitiful, failed remnant who deserve what's coming to them. I don't see Krayt filling his Order with the dregs of Naga Sadow. Especially the self-beatifying aesthetes of the Lost Tribe. I have no idea what Ship was ever thinking... they may have a direct line of lineage (to the drones who grovelled at the Sith Lords' collective feet) but they have thus far shown little more than a desire to lord it over little nobodies and think that it makes them special.

This doesn't mean I don't like the Lost Tribe... I enjoy the departure from the cliché Sith... but that's why I don't see a merger.

Or the One Sith can simply move from Korriban for a bit, which would be original.

I'm seeing a merger of some of the dregs, but I'm also seeing Abeloth completely corrupting the whole lot of them, to the point that they are destroyed by the death of her, or something similar.

Fans do that because every time anyone in the GFFA drops by a PLANET looking for something, anything, they always drop into the right CITY.

Or when something happens to Lando on Cloud CITY -- he evacuates the entire PLANET of Bespin

The lines between City / Planet in the GFFA are sufficiently blurred to assume, for the purposes of Story-Telling - they are one in the same

    This is an excellent topic.

While I have not been reading the LotF novels -- I have been following their events as best as possible.

Wiping out the Lost Tribe seems incredibly unlikely -- merging seems to more appropriate

And Krayt definitely like the visibility of the Lost Tribe to help mask his One Sith -- he felt the same way about Jacen.

Funny - how with everything the PT set out to make cleaR to us -- "Always 2 Sith their are, No more, No Less" -- has been completely obliterated at every turn by any number of EU sources!

TCW, The Comics, The Novels, and nearly everything else has more or less ruled out any real time period when Bane's Order ever truly realised the Rule of Two - and Yoda has never been right about it.

There were ALWAYS other groups of Sith.

Oh yoda... NEVER deal in absolutes my little green friend

Is not cloud city th eonly usable city on bespin, But I do understand what you are saying.

in kids shows like Clone Wars, its acceptable, in Adult oriented novels, it comes off a silly. Especially since we all live on the same planet and the chances of us bumping into eachother range from rather slim, to unrealized daily occurance.

Not at all. If you are talking about non-force users, then your comment has some credence. Lets take Luke for example. He can sense a person in the force across the entire galaxy. So lets now consider a force user that isn't that powerful, yet still strong in the force...a Jedi Master. If the Grand Master can sense someone across the entire SW galaxy, then surely a single planet cannot be all that difficult for a Jedi Master. That's the point I was making.

The why did vader have to send out Probes, Why did not paplatine simply give Vaders Luke skywalkers exact postion?

Luke didn't sense Jacen or Coruscant/Yuuzhan'Tar. Nor did he sense a planet full of darkside sith, going about there various dark doing willy nilly. yes Jedi and Sith master get a general feeling, But space is big and so are planets.

If he could sense people in the galaxy, why did he let the "Wanted" Lumyia just wander around?
