LA, CA Next event -- Unofficial Happy Hour -- Bennigan's Glendale Friday, 11/3

OK, I'll be there both nights. I'll get there early and see about getting a table; we probably don't need a super big one.

Come one, come all, be happy with the LAFF, un-official happy hour -- THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2 OR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3 -- DOESN'T MATTER! Just come on down!

Join for dinner, drinks, snacks... at our usual hang out. ALL AGES WELCOME. This is a restaurant.

Cool people arrive at 6 PM, average people arrive at 7 PM, or when you can get there:

Park in the lot across the street (behind the restaurant building). If you go to the fourth level of the garage (not the top) there is a bridge you can walk across to get to Bennigan's.

Newbies, the restaurant is on the second story of the small mall, next to movie theatre. Parking is free if you use the lot across the street.

No quiz, no agenda, just casually hanging with your buds and visiting. See you there!

Sounds excellent! I could really use a happy hour. I've been so busy. I'll make every effort to make it, but there may be something else going on that day for me. It's been a while since I've seen my LAFF friends.

That night is the season primere of The OC...I have been waiting for it since June...so I can't come.

 

OK, how about Wednesday the 1st then? Would that be better?

 

Is there a chance that this can be done on a friday? wednesdays and thursdays, for the second semester in a row, seems not to work for me to do events with the group, as well as others. It's just a suggestion.

 

Fridays are always cool with us... but I'd go for any day..

from an outsiders opinion:

historically, Thursday were fun. Then you got to see JediBith juggle working Friday, and with a hangover! Of course, I usually scheduled them on nights where Survivor, and CSI and Earle, and Office were re-runs. Oh well. Listen to your CR, she has much wisdom.

Also, harder to get a big table reserved on Friday.

Wednesday the 1st is fine. Friday is fine, too. Usually Friday would probably be better. However, for me I have a promotion test 8a.m. Saturday 11/4 and a religious function to attend on Saturday evening. So, I'd have to leave a little early if we went to Bennigans on 11/3.

 

My vote is for Fri, Sat, Sun generally, because I've got both school and work on Mon-Thurs nights. I mean, unless you guys are gonna be there at like 11 since I work until 10.

Well, we've got a pretty strong concensus to hold this get-together next Friday the Third. Now, of you eight that voted, are you for sure coming? It would be a drag to change the date and then eight people not show up. Inquring minds want to know!

 

My plan is definitely to make the long trek from downtown L A. And, since I live on the west side of L A that's really out of my way. So, I'll be very down-in-the-dumps if other people don't show up.

 

OK -- I'm changing the date on this to Friday -- PLEASE RSVP if you're coming so I can call the restaurant with a number. I'm going to make the reservation for 6 PM because it'll (probably) be easier to get a large table at that time.

 

ARRGH, I can't make it Friday night, especially at 6 PM as I'm still at work. Have fun everybody! (No fear, VK, I didn't vote for Friday so I'm not flaking out on ya!)

Unfortunately I cannot make it Friday, either, I already have plans that night. But it does sound like fun.

Or -- who cares, we can get together Thursday AND Friday. What's the difference? It's an unofficial event, anyway.
