HamptRds, VA Next meeting on March 13th.

Well guys our next meeting will be on the 13th of march. I would like to talk about places for meetings outside the library or the bike shop, so please bring those creative ideas with you. I will be talking with Mike and Rick about other options and ideas that will need to brought to attention, and or streamlined. Hope to see you all there.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to make this one, either - it's Noel's 40th birthday this weekend and we're getting together with family on Saturday. Will try our best to make the next one!!

Hello All!

It was great to get back to attending the meetings again. So for the long absence, I kept forgetting to update my calendar with the upcoming meetings.

Sounds like some great projects are happening. Hope to be able to provide some news soon with stuff from my work shop. Hearing about Jim's progress is making me want to revisit my venom Spiderman project.

Though I was way late I think the meeting went well and I'm happy to see new faces.The Great Steak after the meeting was a real treat that prime rib was super good see you all the 21st.

 

Good meeting, every one that came glad to see the turn out we got! Hope we didnt scare you away jedimomtosith lol.... Hope to see you agian next meeting and party.

Lem, I tried to do a search in photobucket and couldn't find any of your costume pics/albums? Did you move them?

Sounds like a terrific place to eat! what did everyone else have?

 

Just to throw it out there as an alternative in case it hasn't been brought up at the previous meetings or discussions, the OV library has a 1ST FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM, the capacity of which is like 40+ people; ample floor space and chairs; it has media capabilities like projector, PC hookup etc. It even has additional space with a side room where kids can hang-out together.

I never considered using it last year because our meetings never really exceed a dozen or so folks, including family members.

But, as long as that conference room is available, I don't think there is a group size limitation.

Again just to throw it out there for you guys.

I'll comment that it is nice to have a public, backup location for a few meetings, particularly for any potential folks, who might be more comfortable meeting strangers (for all intents & purposes) at a designated public location like a neighborhood library.
