Nute Gunray and the rest of the Neimodian gang?

Does anyone think that Nute Gunray and the Trade Federation will be back for Episode III?

In what part of the plot will they be?

I have a feeling that their biggest role in the PT is going to be in Episode III. Maybe Nute will finally get his revenge against Padme?

I don't know, what do you all think?

 

I think Nute and the rest of the Neimoidians will have a reduced role in Episode III (if any at all). It's not hard to figure out that this film is going to be about Anakin's ultimate downfall, and I don't see how the Trade Federation could be a major factor in the film. That's just my opinion, though, and I could be wrong.

 

I think we'll see them in e3 simply because they had relatively significant roles in the previous two. We need closure on these guys. Otherwise, in years to come, people are going to scratch their heads and go "what happened to Nute and co.? Why do we never hear from them again?"

An idea that I liked was brought up in the parallels thread; maybe Anakin enacts revenge on Nute (similar to the way that Luke confronts Jabba)

He'd better be in Ep III!!!

But I think after the final battle of the Clone Wars, that he will be caught or killed.

I really think that what ever happens to the Separatists at the end of the Clone War will be what happens to Nute Gunray and the rest of the Neimodian gang. Since we all know that the Clone Wars will be ending by the time the movie starts, so maybe we'll get to see for a brief moment what will happen, or has happened to them.

 

They'll probably just be captured and or killed along with all the rest of the leaders of the seperatist movement (excluding Dooku who will escape with his mad Sith skills) at the end of the clone wars

Yes, I do think the Trade Federation flunkies will be in E3. There was no reason for Lucas to use those same toadies rather than new nameless characters in AotC unless he wanted the audience to really be sick of them and want to see them fry in E3. Imagine Nute standing there with a 3PO-esque look on his face when he finally gets shot down. I think the viewers will get a kick out of it.

 

Only Palpatine would have the Power to judge us after the Clone Wars... And he Loves us, he couldn't have achieved whatt he did without the help of the Nemodians (((I appologise for LottDodds Ignorance to his own demise... he thinks he and Palpatine are good friends)))

Nute is very importaint to the plot of the PT, even if he hasn't had a lot of screen time. I think it's likely we'll see Nute back again, probally in a small role like in AOTC.

 

Originally, I think that Nute was supposed to be in the way of Jango's flamethrower during the Arena battle, and get fried. (It would have been a great and humorous death for him IMO). I guess that they decided to let him live, so maybe he'll meet a similar death in Episode III.

 

I'd like to see him have a more meaningful death than getting caught in friendly fire.

 

While he isn't my favorite character, I agree due to the role he has played in the prequels thus far that Nute and the whole Trade Federation story should be wrapped up in Ep. 3. Hopefully, that will mean a fiting death for him, perhaps during the Clone Wars or perhaps Palpatine will have him killed after he is no longer any use to Palpatine.

 

Nute will definitely appear again. We have to find out what is fate is in the end. As Dark Lady Mara said he wouldn't have been in AOTC if he isn't in Ep. III.

 

I agree we put up with him in ATOC and TPM so we can see him fried in III. Just like Jar-Jar

Maybe they'd get captured (in a similar way to Leia in ANH, with troopers boarding their ship)and brought before Palpatine, who decides they should die by public execution as an example for anyone who would dare think of betraying the republic. Or just have them shot, left alone in a room full of troopers:
"What are you doing? Aaaaaah!"
"Dance frog man! Dance!" I accept this is line is unlikely to feature.

I really like the TF, they were only OK in TPM, but I dunno...time has made the Neimodians grow on me. I really look forward to seeing their situation resolved.

Of course they'll be back for Episode III, first off, Nute is the primary visible bad guy in Episode I, a minor bad guy in Episode II, and he survives, he has to be finished off by death or imprisonment, or something. Besides, the TF is still the primary supporter of the Confederacy. Also take into account that in SW there is one bad guy that appears in all three of a trilogy. While the Sith are the invisble bad guys, the ones on the forefront are the Trade Federation and the Confederacy.

Lucas ain't done with the Federation just yet.

 

This is Outrageous!!! No One Realises that I too was in Two of the Movies. So what if Rune Had More Lines in Menace... He couldn't even show up for the sequel.

 

Lucas must wrap up Nute's storyline somehow - or else there'll be a possibility for even more EU novels. [face_shocked]

I doubt that he'll have a huge role in it though, as was said before: Episode III will be about Anakin's fall and the rise of the Empire. Unless the Neimodian's physically help Palpy into his throne, their presence isn't really a biggie.

I can't not smile (at least) every time I hear him say the word braindead. It's a hoot!

 

I am looking forward to potential deaths of characters like Mace, Dooku, and Padme. However, I must admit I'm looking forward to Nute's death the most. He's being played up as a coward and I think he will have a comical death. A misfortunate twist of fate or some such. Somewhere along the lines of the demise of Greedo, Jabba the Hutt, and Boba Fett.
