Is it just me or does it seem like Kenobi revs up the pod engines of a lot of female characters in the TCW series???

Let's see: Siri Tachi, Ventress, Satine, and now Sugi looks as though she's a bit attracted to him. That man is drippin' with pheromones

Obi-Wan gets so much...you know...that we need a whole separate thread. AM I RIGHT!? ;)

Maybe if Anakin wasn't so busy playing his PSP all the time... she wouldn't need a dashing Obi-Wan to come spice up her love life.

He def. hs a thing for bad girls. Ventress, Sugi, Satine (fell in love with her when she was on the wrong side of the law).

We do (did?) have one! More's the better, I say! It just shows how discerning the women are in GFFA - what's not to love? He's not perfect, but no one, male or female is, but he's got everything that counts - charm, humor, nobility, decency....

I kinda think that maybe they are making female characters attracted to Obi-Wan easily to give him a James Bond like appeal. Like the Pierce Brosnan of the GFFA. Makes sense given that he fell in love with Sari Tachi, then fell in love with Satine not too long afterwards(however I don't know exactly how long it was between those two crushes). Perhaps Obi-Wan is the kinda guy who falls in love easily, but is still very much sincere and able to let go. Where as Anakin can be very possessive, clingy, and jealous.

Well, when I was watching the bounty hunters episode, I couldn't help but feel like Obi-Wan and Sugi were attracted to eachother, maybe not in the most romantic way, but their attitude towards each other seemed a little flirtatious and the fact that during the episode they seemed to fight together the most as though the writers were trying to pair them up as a team in the same manner as they did with him and Satine in Voyage of Temptation. I don't know, it was just something I noticed.

At first, I didn't read much into it, but then I thought of how Obi-Wan kinda acts with characters like Ventress and Satine.

It's not just the female characters on the show that he gets all revved up. [face_blush]

I love me some Obi-Wan, though I prefer Ewan!Obi the best. You know, him being live-action and all. The way he sauntered down that ramp on Mustafar in ROTS...whew... *fans self* [face_batting]

But Obi-Wan in general has good chemistry with most of the characters, female or not. Mainly because he likes talking with other beings. He likes to see what makes others tick. He got along with the Talz and got a hug in return. Hondo said he liked him. He has great banter with Ventress, Grievous and Dooku. Heck, he even had a nearly civil conversation with that big bug queen on Geonosis. He's a pretty personable guy when he needs to be.

And his looks sure don't hurt. :D

I'm doubt he has 'chemistry' with Ventress, possibly something with Sugi, they did seem to have a mutual respect/connection. But Obi-Wan as James Bond?[face_laugh]

I think with Obi-Wan's skeptical, sometimes pompous personality, he just likes teasing and degrading others (especially enemies) in a humorous way. I'm also not sure about him being a 'people person'. Anakin seems more easygoing and able to relate to others. But Obi-Wan is wiser and has more patience with people, I think.

And Satine wasn't on the wrong side of the law.. or did I miss something? I thought bad people just wanted to kill her..

Ironic, I feel that Anakin is more intense and demanding, while Obi-Wan seems a bit more detached and relax. I mean the guy I would want to have a beer with would most likely be Obi-Wan, instead of Anakin.

Oh come on, what with the 'I'm getting a drink' line, and having tea with Loathsome, that just seems too obvious.[face_laugh]

I still think, at least in this show, Obi-Wan is more patient with others, and Anakin is more relatable. A good example might be their meeting with Jaybo. At first, Anakin gets along with him fine, is even impressed by him, while Obi-Wan isn't so impressed. Then Anakin gets impatient when Jaybo won't cooperate. So Obi-Wan steps in and tries to be more polite to get the kid to talk.

I'm not saying it's always like this, but generally Anakin seems more of an 'everyman' in TCW, and Obi-Wan seems more of a prude (couldn't come up with a better word).

Pompous! Well, occasionally, yes, in TCW but overall - nah! Bad writing in TCW! [face_shame_on_you]

Anakin may be more "relatable" in some ways, but Obi-Wan is hardly the opposite - he's just less "buddy buddy" on first meeting - to put it another way, Anakin is more "informal" and Obi-Wan "more formal."

    Different approaches for different folks.

As for Satine, Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan were guarding her - they were on the run, but not from the law. So Satine was on the right side of the law.

Fair enough, I still wouldn't call Anakin a "people's person", he doesen't really communicate all that well. I do agree that he is more of an "everyman" then Obi-Wan, whom seems a bit more upper-class.:p
