During Revenge of the Sith we know that the Senate is meeting at the same time as Yoda and Obi Wan breach the Jedi Temple. During this time is the only chance for Obi-Wan to deliver his message.

We see this message in Rebels, how does Obi-Wan know about the Empire if the speech is being delivered while they are occupied in the temple? And how does Obi-Wan know about a "New Hope" if he hasn't even confronted Padme yet, or know of Luke's existence.

The "Empire" bit is perhaps problematic, but not much worse than the clones calling Palpatine "my lord" when he issues Order 66. As for the 'new hope' bit, I think that's just Obi-Wan being optimistic, trusting in the Force to deliver some way back from the darkness descending upon the galaxy.

Little did he know that would come in a few hours.

The "Empire" bit seems to break continuity. Im also not sure how his message would appear in a holocron, unless Kanan saved the message for future listening's. I'm not sure how Holocrons work.

Id say the my lord thing could be solved, because they are getting a direct ordered from the Chancellor, albeit disfigured and on a separatist comlink channel (old EU?). My lord is a bit tricky too.
I guess the Star Wars universe is so big, little errors pop up all the time. If the people making it love star wars as much as us, id say these types of errors would be few and far between.

Obi Wan looks older than he did in ROTS, he shouldn't technically look much older than he was in TCW. My take is that is a different message than the one he left at the temple. Obi Wan is very composed in the one on Rebels, as if he was rehearsed and not under any stress or duress nor time constraints.

Just checked the screenplay... it's possible Yoda & Obi-Wan were monitoring the Senate broadcast, which happens around sunset according to it; then it's night when they change the message and watch the recordings, where Obi-Wan & Yoda are already referring to Sidious as "Emperor" (Sidious also tells Anakin they'll "bring peace to the Empire". Based on that, it seems possible for the message to refer to the Empire... of course, the script of the scene mentions he changed the code to warn Jedi away, not that he recorded a message necessarily... in any case, that must be what he did since we see the message in A New Dawn & Spark of Rebellion (sadly they don't entirely match, if memory serves).

My Lord Mouse, is Obi-wan's message consistent?

"I will make it consistent, begin releasing your episodes"
"Soon the continuity will be crushed and Star Wars will be one of us."

Compared to the other things in SW this is minor.

Then the question is when did Obi-Wan actually send the message? on his way to his desert home?

Personally I think they had the intention of having Obi-Wan appear on a semi-regular basis at some point on some capacity. Even if he appears in voice form like Yoda did or Halogram as he has already. But it is extremely likely the'd have him helping Tano, you know maybe he completed her training as we don't her post ROTS(pr pre) backstory or if she severed all connection to Kenobi & Yoda but with Bail there it is not likely that is the case. It is feasible she met up with Kenobi following the ROTS events and maybe even she knows how to Force Ghost by now. It is more than possible Kenobi finished his Force astral projection/ghost training whatever it is by now and Yoda didnt seem to need years of training he seemed he was ready to teach Kenobi by ROTS end . And you do not need to be dead apparently as Yoda communed with Kanan and Ezra. Storylines are rather odd now.

Id like to know exactly what Kenobi Canon wise was doing. Surely he is watching Luke but for Leia to have instructions to go to Kenobi with the Death Star plans they must have stayed in contact somehow. Kenobi and Bail.

I thought that Obi-Wan's message was a bit useless. He doesn't mention a thing about Palpatine being a Sith Lord and the mastermind behind the entire war. Might be an important thing to mention to any surviving Jedi.

Might've been important... but, as the Sith were the historical enemies of the Jedi, revealing the truth may have spurred some survivors to rash action that would've just gotten them killed.

Looks graying considerably and hair is parted in the opposites direction. His outfit looks about the same from (ROTS or ANH):

That hologram may just be flopped. Note the layering of his clothes is going the opposite way...

I think that is relatively minor difference, and honestly not contradictory. It only makes sense that they would have recorded a message to give context so surviving Jedi can make appropriate decisions to go along with changing the code.

I wish we could have seen more of operation knightfall, and the after math of Yoda and Obi Wan's discoveries. They should have atleast included "You clones make terrible Jedi" outtake.

But I guess some of the magic of star wars is that we get to see pieces of this and that which allude to what was done off screen in episodes.

I just listened to the message and there is nothing explicit that puts the message at the end of ROTS. He simply says don't return to the Temple. Doesn't mean he's physically in the Temple. It's a message that could easily have been recorded shortly after he left Coruscant. Indeed, if the message was made when he got to Tatooine then it wouldn't be out of place for him to use the phrase "Empire" since by then he would have fought Anakin, known that Anakin had become a Sith and heard him speak of a new Empire.

    I don't think it's a huge contradiction, tbh.

I figured the beacon or whatever in ROTS that he uses to warn the Jedi would just be a very succinct and automated "stay away." I didn't imagine that it was something Obi-Wan recorded or that when Jedi are at risk of being gunned down upon arrival to Coruscant, that he'd waste their time with a long winded message about a new hope. I figured that message might have been a separate one recorded and transmitted after the birth of the twins.

They would have to explain the origin of Kanan's holocron and the message inside, it isnt likely they were handed out at some convention or while Jedi were fleeing the temple for their lives.

I highly doubt it ever will be explained, unless Filoni addresses it in an interview or if he does Q&A's again as he did after each TCW season.

As far as Obi-Wan knew, Yoda and he were going to deal with everything while they were on Coruscant, with Yoda going to go kill Palpatine. So I don't think rhetoric regarding "a new hope" would have been something Obi-Wan would have been mentioning until after they had failed.

    Indeed.
I also do not understand why this information wasn't beamed to all Jedi by Shaak Ti or another Jedi remaining in the Temple when Mace went to confront SIdious.
