Official Rogue one release date

Does anyone know the official release date for rogue one? I see somewhere it is Dec 15 and then I see Dec 16. I am assuming it will do the 7pm showing the day before like the force awakens, but this mixed info is hard for those having to schedule days off. It is known at work I am a star wars fan so calling in sick isn't a believable option. I just don't want to take the wrong day off
