Notes: This is a gift for Laine_Snowtrekker, because she asked for it. Merry Everybody! Also this is a part of the Second Annual Winter Holiday Fic-gift Exchange Challenge!! This is my first Han / Leia banter fic, so let me know what you think.

?There, we?ll set her down there.?

The Millennium Falcon swooped low, softly brushing the spindly tops of the deciduous trees that grew proud on the surface of Manda. It hummed and whirred as prepared for its decent into a small clearing amidst the trees. The old bird shuttered as it fired repulsors to ease into the bull?s-eye landing. The green trees swayed violently as if they were panicked, attempting to run away from the foreign durasteel and electronics.

Hopelessly faithful in his prized freighter, Han Solo confidently wrestled with the controls, feeling every twitch of the finicky system. Behind him, Luke and Leia held their breath and clutched the arm rests available to them in the crew chairs. Chewbacca was diligent, switching switches and mashing buttons that eased the Falcon?s transition into landing.

He urgently growled.

?It?s snug, Chewie. But trust me, this will work.? Han allowed himself to sacrifice some focus in order to comfort his friend.

Chewie voiced his skepticism with a bark and growled an explanation.

?We can?t! The Baobab Spaceport is being monitored by Imperials. This place provides decent cover from patrols, too,? Han continued.

?Maybe Chewie is right, Han.? Leia agreed, anxious that the Falcon would break up into pieces before it even touched the ground, ?I can arrange another rendezvous location with Mungo.?

?Listen,? Han slowly persuaded the controls forward, ?Let me do my job. I?ve landed much tighter spots than this.?

Chewie mockingly growled.

?Alright, now,? Han would have retaliated with some smart remark, but the landing was requiring all of his concentration. As the Falcon began to dip lower a wall of trees rose slowly before the cockpit. They were daunting close. Any closer and their branches would be flooding into the cockpit. They continued to grow until they were towering over the ship.

?See,? Han smiled victoriously.

Sscceeerrr Han winced apologetically as a mind numbing scraping noise echoed through the Dura steel. Leia and Luke protected their ears from the gnarling noise while Chewie roared angrily. The squealing did not cease until the ship finally touched down on the repulsor swept ground with a stomach turning bounce.

?Well, that?s gonna be a pain to buff out,? Han attempted to squeeze a little bit of humor out of the embarrassing moment.

?Han!? Leia began to fuss out the smuggler, ?Do you know anything about stealth? We?re are supposed to be undercover. You probably just woke up the entire forest with that stunt!?

?Easy now, Princess. The nearest patrol is maybe five clicks away from here.?

?Han?s right, Leia,? Luke added his own two credits, ?And no one?s hurt, so far so good.?

Chewie muttered a rumbling growl as a red dome blinked on the console and let out a threatening buzz.

?Great,? Han started scurrying over the switches and dials, ?Way to go Luke. Now something?s wrong with the Falcon? It?s probably a surface reclamation cylinder.?

Shaking her head, Leia let out a long frustrated sigh before she began, ?Alright, take care of it. Luke, we need to get to the rendezvous before Mungo gets spooked that we?re late and this all will be for nothing.?

"Nice try, Han," Luke spoke as he stood. With Luke on her heels, Leia lead the way out of the cockpit.

Han stood up and pointed at flickering numbers on the main console, ?I doubt you ne

?Hey,? Han played it off like he was offended, ?Remember when I squeezed us into a spot with enough cover to keep us hidden from any patrol? - No point in going way back in time to come up with a good example of Han's abilities!
