I got the idea to make this thread from reading the Fragglerock thread. :)

But anyway, what old cartoons or shows from the 80's/90's do you remember that you never hear about any more? One I remember was The Little Bits.Anyone remember that? It was kind of an old, obscure,Anime cartoon they used to show on Nick back around '92 or '93.Another one I used to watch was David The Knome, which was also on Nick. These were on when I was 5 years old,so I wish they'de show them again, just for old times sake. :) What old ones do you remember?

I remember one about Koala Bears from an alternate dimension. It was strange, but really cool.

Bobby's World, Eek the Cat, The Tick, and The Uncanny X-Men: All classics, but all disappeared to the dark and murky place where cancelled TV shows that don't have the support necessary to turn them into DVD collections go.

Trell- I remember that one too- the gateway to their dimension was in that one mountain in australia or something, right? And they lived in a tree outside some girl's bedroom...

Mysterious Cities of Gold I always rather enjoyed as a kid- had an interesting story arc, and a cool style to it.

I also remember Turbo Teen (kid morphs into a sportscar whenever his body temp. goes up...just hilarious when you consider the problems that would cause if he was ever with a girl...lol) and the Rubix Cube cartoon (where, whenever the magic, living cube got scrambled [by only bumping into things, mind you] the kids with it could solve it and bring him back within moments- yeah right!). Not fondly, but I seem to be of the few who do remember them.

Captain N - basically a half-hour Nintendo commercial with Megaman and others I can't remember

Punky Brewster cartoon - like the show, but with a magical pet thing called Glomer

That one cartoon with the band that gets transported to the "flip side"

Alf cartoon - featured Alf's adventures on Melmac with his friends

Taxiland - animated adventures of Alex Riga, Bobby Wheeler, Elaine DiNardo, Tony Bantha, Reverend Jim Ignatowski, Louie, and Latka Gravas in a land of magical flying taxis

Police Academy cartoon - probably no Mahoney

Spider-man and his Amazing Friends - with Iceman and Firestar

Cops(?) - cybernetically enhanced future cops

Dumbo's Circus - live action show on the Disney channel

The New Leave It To Beaver - another Disney channel show, whitebread '80s update of the whitebread '50s classic

There may have been a New Monkees show as well. The original was quite popular in the '80s and the Monkees released a new single/video "That Was Then, This Is Now" in the mid-'80s. There may have been an accompanying TV show, or maybe my mind's playing tricks on me. Micheal Nesmith was not part of the reunion.

Wasn't that "Kidd Video"? I loved that show..That was where i learned the answer to the riddle of the Sphinx..

I'm glad someone else remembers "Dinosaucers".. I used to RUN home from school everyday just so that i'd be in time for the opening credits..

"Silverhawks" is one that i don't think i saw mentioned here.. That was a pretty cool show (and had some super cool toys!)

I always liked "Galaxy High School"

Of course you had all your videogame based shows like "Pac-Man", "Q-Bert" and the aforementioned "Captain N: Gamemaster"..

Anyone remember "Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future"? It always kills me that J. Michael Straczynski was one of the principal writers of that show..

Then you've got "Wheeled Warriors".. I always kindof dug that one.. Interesting ongoing story with Jace trying to locate his Dad..Herc Stormsailer was one of the cooler Han Solo-clones..

    Also, anyone remember "Sectaurs"?

And 120 Minutes. Always had to stay up late on Sunday night for that.

Can't believe I forgot Silver Hawks and Captain Power. I had a few of those toys. I believe there was a Laser Tag cartoon as well. All the Saturday morning cartoons were essentially toy commercials/space fillers for the time between toy commercials.

Yeah, though what he planned to do with that show would have been interesting had they proceeded (basicly eliminating their power suits and putting them on the run...which would have radiclly altered that show's direction...probably amde it less toy-reliant too I'm guessing)

"JEM is truly outrageous... Truly truly truly OUTRAGEOUS..Oooh. JEM! The music's congtagious OUTRAGEOUS..JEM is my name..No one else is the same, JEM is my name...JEM!"

Damn, i'm embarassed to say i can remember that whole song... :p

"Robotech" is another one (not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but that was the first show that i really followed faithfully.. At least for the first Generation..My area kind of messed up the order of the episodes when it came to the Second and Third Generations.. I remember having no clue what was going on. Shortly after, the show as taken off the air)

To this day, the death of Ben Dixon STILL shocks me more then any other death i've ever witnessed in a film or tv show...
