"Only the Dark Lord of the Sith knows our weakness...."

This is the line spoken by Yoda in AotC in reference to the Jedi. Anyone know what it is? I have seen RotS four times now, and watching that scene still makes me scratch my head.

Any help here would be hot.

 

he is talking about their ablility to use the force to see the future, stuff like that.

 

He's referring to the inability of the Jedi to find the Dark Lord of the Sith, Palpatine is clouding everything.

 

Just that simple then? Ok...I guess.

 

here is what happened in the movie:

obiwan is telling mace and yoda about the clone army and then yoda says "blind are we in the creation of this clone army we did not see." mace responds" i think it is time we informed the senate that the ability to use the force has diminshed."

then yoda says "only the dark lord knows our weakness"

 

the weakness that they can no longer foresee into the future

 

I concur with everyone who says that they can no longer see the future.

 

not just that they can't see the future, but also the fact that they are unable to detect the sith lord by using the force. in many books and games, jedi and sith can feel the presence of each other, but this wasn't the case with palpatine, and he knew it.

 

the point is if they do as mace suggests and inform palpitine and the senate that their abilities are being blocked by a sith lord then their enemies will multiply.
it really is that simple. only complcated by the fact that palpitine is the sith lord.

 

Their weakness is that the Dark Side is clouding everything. The sad part about Jedi is if their ability to use the Force is weakened they are kinda screwed because they depend on it so much. With the Dark Side clouding the Force the Jedi are handicapped serverely.
