There are a number of worlds in the Star Wars universe that feature "-tooine" in their names, the most famous of these are Dantooine and Tatooine.

    *Dantooine
    *Kaltooine
    *Mantooine
    *Reltooine
    *Tatooine

Some worlds feature a certain naming convention for certain reasons. For example:
Ord Mantell, Ord Radama and Ord Biniir feature the "Ord" suffix as they are Ordnance/Regional Depots.

Whilst these worlds are all located within the Outer Rim, none are relatively close to each other and are on opposite sides of the known galaxy.

Is there any possible in-universe explanation for this naming convention?
Perhaps "-tooine' means something in Huttese?

This kind of question can also apply in relation to worlds which end in "-gobah" ie, Dagobah and Xagobah.

    Probably "world" or "planet". Kuratooine:

was named after a Dame Kura.

There was a family with the last name "tooine". Dan, Kalt, Man, Relt, and Tat were siblings.

I could see the Hutt explorer who discovered Klatooine, and brought it into the Hutt Empire, naming the planet after himself.
