Do we think we see her use the force in first half of the season?

Really digging this character/actress so far!

 

I like her.

 

Does anyone else feel like it may be Osha who ends up turning and becoming the Sith apprentice by the by the end of the series? I feel like they’re setting up that possibility by showing Osha’s anger and desire for revenge against Mae.

 

I could possibly see her being the one to actually kill Sol

 

I don’t want Sol to die or to end up being a corrupted Jedi, I like Sol he is my kind of Jedi, he would have gotten along with Kanan…

 

Sol is the character I like the most so far and I hope he doesn't die. To me, he has a kind of a Qui-Gon type of vibe.

 

I could see him faking his death though that would be quite clever in this situation… that’s what I would do…

 

Good so far! Stenberg is the lead we were looking for.

But when did Lucasfilm start putting characters in T-shirts? Something about that just jolts me out of the GFFA.

 

She is good playing the scoundrel and former jedi

 

Actor is fine but character seems weirdly naive and just a bit dumb considering she is supposed to be ex-jedi.

 

Could be a misdirection?
How old is she supposed to be again?
She was 8 when rescued and 10 years have passed? (based on the levitating now dead jedi vow of silence?)
So if she is 18 or so still can be quite naive?
Or is that trauma reaction?
Children who lived through harrowing situations and then could not properly express their feelings often act less mature than their age as a defense mechanism...
(Grogu also seems to do that in the Mandalorian...he was trained but the regressed?)

 

Well Grogu is alien so it kinda changes the situation. But she seemed quite naive for someone who has been a jedi and then survived on her own after that. Compared to like Jyn Erso who was just few years older. I think they try to avoid doing Rey again, going the "Mary Sue route" but now they try too much making her bit too dumb instead of too skillful.

 

But we cannot compare her being a padawan in that era versus eg Ahsoka who had to be a child soldier...
... I think in this timeframe the experience of a jedi padawan ( she was still a padawan when she left i think) might have been a lot more shielded and elitist than we are used to consider with our TCW experiences?
All meditating and learning philosopy and communing with the force in nice bulidings with a lot of food nice clothes and being part of the most respected "protector caste" at the times? Work on yoursef, harness the force, tame your feelings, learn your rules...I don't think they had to fight for their life or witnessed horrific situations...
This makes me think back to the impression the TCW flashback in Ahsoka left in me... seeing that child in the middle of a ruthless war and her master trying to explain that he had to teach her to be a soldier instead of a jedi to keep her alive...that hit a lot more in live action than in animation.
... Jedi should not be soldiers but more of a kind of diplomats but we are used to see them in war times when they were what they should not be maybe?
IMO of course, maybe I am steering away and this is not the way ( the way is in the middle by the way ehehe)...

Regarding Grogu... IMO... a child is a child regardless of species or race...and then I prefer to say Grogu is not of a humanoid species... because in SW Galaxy technichally...humans are also alien to a lot of planets we see then on right?

 

No, I think she’s 24 years old, if I heard all the dates correctly. 8 when rescued, and Sol said at one point ‘16 years ago’ when the incident with her family happened.

additionally, Osha said she left the order 6 years ago which would have put her at 18 when she left the order.

levitating Jedi hadn’t ‘spoken to anyone’ in ten years.

It's only two episodes so far, but Amandla is really impressive pulling double duty in this series.
