Our Episode II Wedding (Padme's Gown and Anakin's Jedi Costume)

We've done it...I would never have believed that someone could recreate Padme's wedding gown to the degree of our seamstress's. My fiance's gown looks even better than Padme's in fact. If you all are nice, you can quit looking for Padme's pics, because after the wedding (and honey moon ) I'll have pictures galore for you to use to your hearts content. That is....if you're interested.

And for those of you wondering about Anakin's cloak, wonder no more. That was solved, with the perfect size hood and the armslits perfectly hidden. I walked around in my costume for an hour reciting lines and so forth yesterday. Simply amazed at what our designer did. Now on to the wedding next weekend.

Yep. Best man has a Mace Windu (made from burlap matierial), and little brother a jedi hybrid (read..left over matierial).

But that's it, brides maids have beautfiul custom dresses, but they are not Star Wars. Oh well, The guys are walking down to Imperial March, and girls are walking down to Across the Stars. Gonna be awesome.

Congrates! We'll love to see pictures and "reports" from your wedding. Full body shots if possible! We're also sure it will go on very smoothly next weekend and your seamstress/tailor had done a great job!

Frankly, I had heard many people doing SW themed wedding but only a handful actually did show some pictures from it. (The best so far seems to be from Ben & Amy Efting, and Michael & Janell).

Heehee, I'd planned to have a full SW themed wedding too, from the point of the solemnization to the wedding dinner/reception. But must get a boyfriend who enjoy SW too first!

 

Very cool! We would like to do something similar for our 10year next year in Vegas.

THAT sounds very cool. Caliman, is the gown comfortable? Comfort is a BIG plus in a wedding.
I was in 4 as a bridesmaid. 2 dresses were uncomfortbale, and 2 were VERY comfy.
So what type of dresses will the bridesmaids be wearing? What does the family think of a Sta Wars'ish wedding?

Yeah, I loved that rainbow dress too, but my fiance said she would have felt too uncomfortable in it. Ah well, I think she made the right choice, while I've seen the dress I've yet to see it on her. From what I hear though, it's awesome.

My anakin costume is beyond cool though. Just finished building a portable blue screen, so we can have the wedding photographer take some shots to later dress up in photoshop. And a big plus is our photogorapher is a big Star Wars fan and wants to capture us in some memorable poses. Can't wait to share with you all.

Our wedding is Sept. 28 (in two days). Two week honeymoon, and a couple more weeks to get all the pictures scanned in and on the net.
