Even though Ive tried this before I figured what the hell, Id give it another shot. Anyhoo, last night was the season premiere of HBO's amazing series, Oz. This is easily my favorite show on tv, and last night's show really delivered, imho.

So, if there are any other fans out there who love Oz as much as I do, this can be our haven to discuss one of the best ensemble dramas on tv, network or cable. Let me know what you thought of last nights, show, your favorite characters, predictions for future shows, etc. Come on now, I know Im not the only Oz fan out there.... :D

    I enjoyed last night's show.

The ending was a surprise, I didn't see it coming until they wanted me to.

Schillenger Vs. Said (sp?) ought to be really good.

O'Reilly rocks as always, but no one will ever be as cool as Ada Beesey (sp?)

I wonder if they will ever find Luke Perry's character.

Yeah, the ending was a surprise, and very sad. It was pretty powerful watching these hardened criminals, murderers and rapists alike, weeping openly over the deaths of their loved ones. I thought the priest died, too, but they show him in the clips for next week's show, so I guess not.

Yes, Adebisi was 'da man, but his character had gone as far as it could and the really wasnt any other option besides death. Besides, ther new leader of the homeboys, Burr Redding, is a great actor and his facial expressions alone are enough to get me to watch every week. :D I kind of feel the same way about Schillinger as I do about Said, meaning that I feel his character has done so many horrible things that he 'has' to die. As for O'Reilly, he always great, and Im very happy that Alvarez is back in Em City. His new psychosis is intriguing, and I hope he kills Guerra but somehow manages to stay in Morales' good graces, as well as staying in Em City again permanently.

Oh, and Luke Perry's character was founf alive after the explosion...if you call that living.

Next week my favorite character, Chris Keller, returns to Oz after being transferred. I hope he's back for good and it isnt a guest spot. But, either, way, its all good, as long as he's back. :D

How crazy is Omar White ??? :D :D

The whole 'you owe me an apology' with McManus and Omar was funny.

I missed a show somewhere along the way then, because I didn't see that and I didn't see Said shank Schillenger and his flunkie. It will be interesting to see where they go with Alvarez and his 'you can't scare me because I don't care about dying anymore' attitude. Though it was funny as hell when that old crazy guy put him down after Alvarez was acting so tough.

I missed the first 15 minutes, were the two old guys on the show?

If youre referring to Rebadow and Bousmalis, yeah, theyre back. They had a few throwaway lines when they and the other inmates returned to Em City, but that was it for yesterday's show. Yeah, Giles putting Alvarez on his a** was pretty fun, although I half expected him to get up and start beating on Giles.

As for links about the show, I unfortunately do not know about too many fan sites, but HBOs official site is pretty good. They have character bios covering the history there, as well as a section for all the character's who died, etc. Obviously they have alot more than that, but that's just an idea of what theyve got. Anyway, check it out and see how you like it. :D

Speaking of Alvarez, I just got the new TV Guide in the mail and it says on this weeks episode that 'Alvarez finds a solution to his feud with Guerra.' Hmmm, I wonder what that could mean, in Oz it could mean just about anything. Personally Im hoping Alvarez shanks him but somehow manages to stay out of solitary.

See, I'm afraid that based on Alvarez's whacko behavior last week, they're gonna get rid of him. :(

But who know... this is OZ, after all, and literally anything could happen.

Anyone see last night's show ? I thought it was pretty good, although I was dissapointed that Keller wasnt on it, but he'll back next wk so that's fine. The whole Alvarez / Guerra had me scratching my head. Why allow himself to be shanked when Guerra could very easily have killed him. I think Morales is going to have get involved, and because of his remorse over his sister's death, he will spare Alvarez...or so I hope.

It was very surprising to see Peter Schibetta return to Em City after years in the psych ward. I wonder what kind of a role he will play, if he even does. I saw in the clips for next week's show that he tries to kill Schillinger in revenge for the attakc on Pancamo. Hmmm, interesting...

They also show Morales apparently making a deal with Redding, a dangerous partnership in the drug trade in Oz. I dont like the sound of this, sworn enemies suddely becoming partners ? WTF ?? Either way, something's going to go down between the Latinos and the Homeboys.

Thoughts or theories, anyone ? :D

Ahhhh, thanx DVader316, I finally found it!

Well, as I said in a thread, that I created earlier without the knowledge of this already existing one, OZ got off to a shacky start.

It was nice to see our familiar friends but, they all seem soft.

One of my fave additions to the cast was Redding, and he seems to be a nice old man...acting as Hills dad, or something.

Morales has definetly softened up a bit, and Said..well, hes just gotten crazier!

But, I guess that this all happened because of the bus accident! If thats the case then fine, make them soft for the time being...., it gives them depth, and makes us love them evenmore.

The 3rd episode looks like the good old days are returning to Em City. The Sicilians are replacing moronic Pancamo with Shibbetta (*hopefully*). The Muslims are still at war with the Aryans....which makes it interesting because, the Aryans killed Pancamo...so, I guess we can expect a teaming up of the Muslims and Italians.

    **Request to any OZ inmate**
    Please Kill Omar White!!!!!!!!

Nah, they cant kill Omar, he's the ****** man! I love Omar's crack head like persona, he is truly crazy, you never know what that sick pup will do next, whether it's shanking someone or slamming their head thru a t.v. set.

I dont see Schibetta leading the Italians again, he is too ****** up after spending so many years in the psych ward. He is obviusly not up to leading again, especially with all the beef the Italians have now. Plus, I think his fate may be sealed this week. Oh, and Pancamo isnt dead.

I agree with Burr Redding being one of the best new characters on the show. Just his facial expressions alone are classic, and he leads the homeboys with such quiet precision, such a drastic change from Adebisi. I think he'll be around for a while. :D

On this Sunday's episode two old inmates return to Oz, Chris Keller and Jia Kim. Im really curious how Keller will be brought back in, as well as the reintroduction of Jia. He was a minor character last season, a Chinese drug lord sent to Oz. He was termporarily teamed with the homeboys, but he was put into a coma by Cyril O'Reilly after Jia decided to mess with him and Ryan. Well, now he's back. Will he kill Cyril and send Ryan off the deep end ? Guess we'll know soon enough...

I'm a little worried they are trying to make Said into a bad guy- he was always a voice of reason and a nice counterpoint to the Homeboys, but ever since he shanked Adebisi, he's been getting more and more violent...

I love Reddings little tick! He's awesome. I have an OZ party at my place every Sunday...and we all laugh our @$$ off when he starts twitching.

Omar, just gets annoying. Tim should just toss him into solitary forever! :D

Having Keller back will be great! He was so awesome on the show! I loved when him and Ryan started to **** up Adebisis' little 'Paradise' His relationship with Beecher should be weird now...its been a while since they've seen each other......and Keller did tell Beecher to forget about him and the relationship.

What ever happened to the dude who tried to blow up Em City? Was he extradited(sp) back to Ireland?

I know Pancamo isnt dead but, this will be a good time to throw him away. That was weird seeing his offense on last Sundays show. I thought we saw that one already.

I agree YoMama , Said has taken a turn for the worst! I cant believe that he attacked Robson like that, after he got the piece of $hit in his mail.

I understand that he flipped his lid last season but, I thought we were going to see a softer side to Said too...and then he would gradually make his way back to the grand-standing Said that we all love.

    Said is a delicate character.
