Padme's Shirt

Right before the battle, the nexu cuts into Padme's back, creating three tears where she was injured. IMMEDIATELY in the next scence (less then ten seconds), she was leaning back, crying out in pain, her arms streached out, and a very large part of her shirt is missing. Was she injured once before that that I missed in my 100+ viewings? Where did her shirt go?

Just wondering.

 

The nexu tears it. You can see it fall down to the side.

 

And then she immediately rips it off to expose her buff abs and whatnot. Hey, it's the new metal bikini! Oooooh, thank you, George.

I agree with thefallen on this issue

 

Come to think of it, how come we couldn't have Nute make her his slave? Then Obi-Wan and Anakin would have to race after her as Nute tries to make a get away. No doubt he had a Rancor to feed Padme to.

 

Yeah that happened so quick with Padme's shirt being teared off I wondered where it had gone, but I'll have to see if I can see it fall off to the side or something.

 

I always wondered why you never saw blood gashing out of her wound and running down her legs after that attack.
Instead she's perfectly fine and feeling fit enough to fight the droids.
Getting sand in her wounds when she fell out of that Gunship must have really stung, though she didn't show it.

 

Maybe someone should post a pic of her shirt torn, exposing her abs, just so we can all be clear on this thread what we are discussing.

Cat scratches don't always gush blood - they hurt like billy-oh and leave a scar, but don't necessarily bleed.

The nexu's kind of cat-like.

 

I didn't see what happened to the rest of her shirt, I was distracted by something else.

there is noo way in hell her shirt could just fall off and i looked to see if the shirt flew off to the side and it doesnt!

 

Do you have the widescreen version? Because I know that I've seen the shirt fly down before. It might be cut out in the fullscreen version.

What should have happewned is that the Nexu rips of all her clothes, then Anikin sees her and gets sudden sexual urges, giving him super jedi jumping abilities so he leaps up on the piller and the two have wild sex. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN KICK ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

There are a lot of tricky little "shadow" things in AOTC that explain things. Like Boba's head flying out of the helmet and Padme's shirt.

Yeah, the shirt can definitely be seen, or at least its shadow...but trust me, it's not the focal part of the scene.

 

I don't think it's quite as visible in the p-s version, but is obviously there on the left hand side of the screen in the letterboxed version.

God, I love that shirt!
