Palpatine and women

Has Palpatine ever been in love? I dont believe he has but however ive been thinking if maybe he had a first and last love in his younger years. If he has never been in love I wish I had that power to not let women control his mind. Because in all honesty the dating game is tough and if you can resist the sheer beauty of a woman and your biological urges you are trully a Sith Lord!

What are you talking about? Palps is a babe magnet! Women love power, and Palps has power coming out of his ears. It was one of the reasons he became a Sith Lord, for the ladies, everybody knows that.

I don't think women were every really a priority for Palpatine. After all, he doesn't particularily like them in high positions in his empire. I also think perhaps "love" would have been viewed as a distraction in the plan for galaxy domination (world domination being too low a goal for him).

Palpatine had a few concubines, and at least one son *shudders at the thought of GODV* but never really cared for anyone at all.

 

I doubt it. Most Jedi don't fall in love either.

 

He may have been in love before, but Palps was homosexual, so women weren't an issue. Perhaps he had a teacher or master he was found of.

 

I belive Palpatine was in love back in his younger days before he become Senator for Naboo.

 

I heard that he was into old woman and monkeys, he even had a kid! one time the half woman half monkey even possed as the emporer, during a hologram chat with Vader.

 

He was Amidala's first boyfriend... How else do you think she got the queen job?...

 

It was a young Gungan female that broke his heart and started him on the path to the Darkside, while in the process instilling his intense hatred of aliens as well.

In reality, he has urges just like anyone else... I am sure that he had no problem finding women to fill his desires... he was the Emperor, after all!!!

 

makes me wonder him being the Emperor is he ever did get women when he wanted to. Maybe electrocute them when he is done with them. The gungan idea might work since he is racist against aliens. Maybe he had a crush on Mon Mothma but since she basically hated his policies she didnt want to be involved with him, thus causing Palpatine to name himself Emperor and do away with her!?!?!?!

He's the biggest player in the galaxy. Women like older men and talk about money he's simply rolling in it.

If we are talking about the official Star Wars movies I would say no. He has no time for falling in love while he plays the role of both Chancellor/Senator and Sith Lord. As the Emperor I doubt he would care for anyone but himself.

But seeing the EU is known for some of their wonky storylines I'm pretty sure there's a kids book about Palpatine having a one-eyed son after ROTJ so I guess he does fall in love. Unless of course he raped the mother and stole the baby.

I always thought Palpy was gay. I mean, look at the homoeroticism in the dialogue between him and Luke in ROTJ.

Uh-huh. I mean, I doubt if GL intended it this way, but there are other gay themes in SW, not the least of which is the relationship between C3PO and R2D2. I picked up on that immediately, even as a 14-year-old seeing SW for the 1st time. Plus, when the bartender at the cantina says "we don't serve their kind here" that's a reference to homophobia.

Of course, Palpy may have done the nasty with all kinds of people, who knows what he was like as a young man. He also could be a confirmed celibate - many power-mad people don't give a damn about sex. I guess it never entered into the movies because it isn't an important part of the story, whereas the relationships between Padme & Anakin, and Han & Leia, were integral to it.
