Well, even a small penguin is significantly larger then a scorpion, so it should easily peck it to death.
Plus, this one can carry a box and therefore drop it on the scorpion.

However, the scorpion is faster and can have a lethal sting, which would down the penguin pretty fast.

I agree with the penguin. However, I fear the scorpian could get a sting in before killed, resulting in a draw.

There are many dangerous animals that are cute. They just get a bad rep because they're dangerous.

I do not believe this situation is as simple as it may first appear.

First of all we must consider the motives behind the confrontation. As far as I can tell, the scorpion may be at a psychological advantage as he's on the defensive (history has generally shown that the defender will fight harder than an aggressor), however the mindset of the penguin is obviously one of unbridled aggression so that may overcome and intimidate the scorpion. The penguin also appears to have some sort of battlecry which may lend him a psychological edge in single combat.

Next is the terrain. The floor is clearly unstable (note the flat floor in the first image vs the curved floor in the final image) and we can see that the penguin appears to have used the springyness to his advantage in order to gain a height advantage over the scorpion, as well as a store of potential energy for any in-flight manoeuvrings he may decide to pull. That said, the scorpion has a lower centre of mass so he may have some advantage in maintaining stability on an unstable surface.

We also need to think about the relative strengths of each creature. The penguin is larger, clearly more intelligent and has a large beak. The scorpion however has a thick exoskeleton, a stinger and two large pincers. If the penguin fails in his initial attack to completely disable the scorpion, he will be faced with a situation whereby he is close in to the scorpion on an unstable surface (thus handing advantage to the scorpion) and cannot close the distance to strike without putting him within range of the scorpions pincers/stinger. His best option is to attack the scorpion from above (beak first), and use speed to smash the scorpion with his beak before the scorpion can sting him - aiming for the scorpion's back would also mean the scorpion cannot see the penguin to aim his stinger.

All of this is made irrelevant however, as a purple panda will come through the door (and thus obstruct the penguins flightpath, rendering his height advantage useless as well as him unconscious) with a bamboo shoot which he uses to tip the scorpion onto it's back, before he opens the box and removes a large blue brick which he squashes the scorpion with.

    You heard it here first
