THEY ARE LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS!!damn. seen this people with walkie-talkies? at the malls,restaurants,gas-stations..


I had this friend that had a nextel phone with the walkie-talkie..and we be at the casino and his dad would come on and say stuff like "roger", "10-4",
"over and out"?

woot? mang it started to get annoying..ultimately i dont talk to him anymore!


I have a cellphone but I have my conversations in private..but THESE PEOPLE WITH THESE WALKIE-TALKIES SCREAM AND THE OTHER PERSON IS SCREAMING OVER THE SPEAKER..ITS STUPID AND UNECESSARY..

IF ur a cop or security..yeah thats fine..but a private citizen? someone should look into this fcc maybe.


So why are they making cellphones into walkie-talkies? i just dont get it and i cant wait till its over..


i was at the jack in the box the other night and this lady was talking to someone over the talkie..and you could hear everything the other person said..ALL AROUND THE RESTAURANT..IM NOT KIDDING..IT WAS THAT LOUD..I FELT LIKE PUNCHIN HER LIGHTS OUT..

"10-4"? huh?


comeon..do people really need this function?

Yes, people need that function. We used it all the time at work, when we needed to talk to other people 100+ feet away in a noisy environment.

Also, some plans have unlimited "walkie-talkie" minutes, and limited regular phone minutes. So, some people probably abuse the walkie-talkie minutes so that they don't go over their allowed number of regular minutes.

 

Speaking of loud and obnoxious...

Curse people for using short-range radios, instead of paying for expensive phones and plans, in order to keep in touch!

 

solo how is it expensive? ive got free long distance and free nights and weekends..for 39.99. using a regular phone..but it aint that loud..i mean dont get me wrong..i know where u are coming from..but these people are clearly doing it to attract attention..and feel somewhat important.

Okay, does anyone want to explain why sprint or whichever company it is advertises that you can use these walkie-talkies coast to coast? I mean, isn't that what the PHONE is meant for? coast to coast calls? why the hell do you need a walkie talkie when you could just as well use the phone?

Yeah, I hear the cancerous rays actually increase flouride activity in the water, making our brains up to 35% more receptive to alien mind control. Better get out the tinfoil hats, boys.


And as for why it's coast-to-coast walkie-talkies? It's cheaper. It's an incentive for an entire company to purchase phones on the plan, so they all have an inexpensive way to communicate. A large-scale purchase like that is good for Nextel, and everyone goes home happy.

 

Sprint just got the "walkie talkie" thing, ergo the comparisons to Nextel of late.

 

I heard that Micheal Jackson used the walkie-talkie feature on his phone all the time. He loved it and thought it was a great way to communicate with Tito.

My dad uses the Direct Connect all the time, and his phone has the option to transfer the call you're making with the Direct Connect to a normal call and use the phone normally.

They don't bother me at all.

There are more grammatical mistakes in this thread then the number of times that Verizon fool has said "Can you Here me now?"

 

beep. beep!!! loud as ever!..then the sound of a voice..so loud it made you drop ur food!..its really annoying..and they are as loud as cops radios.

It's not like people have converstaions that last for hours that way. It's no more annoying than a pager or any other Cell Phone. A loud Beep Beep is no worse than a loud ringing.

Plus, nothing can make me drop my food.
