Census Pineapple On Pizza

Poll inspired by the president of Iceland's denouncement of pineapple on pizza.

Do you declare pineapple on pizza?

 

LOL...nope. I understand it's a pizza topping thing, but not my pizza topping thing.

 

Sometimes a nice, fruity taste on a pizza is just the perfect thing.

 

Every once in a while, sure why not.

 

I'm more tuna and hard boiled eggs pizza declarations, but I get the appeal of pineapple.

 

I don't like pizza. I like pineapples, though.

 

I declare the right to put any fruit on a pizza.

 

Only heathens put that on a pizza.

....I was literally just joking with someone about Cap'n Crunch on pizza.

Please don't tell me it's an actual thing.

Now now...we live in a democratic society. Just because you think certain toppings on pizza is wrong doesn't mean it ought to be banned. Your neighbor putting pineapple or Captain Crunch on his pizza doesn't affect you in any way.

I notice that my Asian brethren have voted no. I concur. This is because we are from ancient cultures who have developed taste.

 

In a recent blind taste test, ham and pineapple pizza was beat out by

Dog kibbles and grits
asphalt and formica
turkey liver and shoestrings

 

When I was a kid I was the only one who liked pineapple on pizza. The easiest way to make sure you get enough pizza in a family with 6 kids is to ask for pineapple on it.

 

Pineapple on pizza is when a person's ethics, taste and relative cultural appreciation is at an absolute nadir. No good person has ever thought these two things - pineapple and pizza - belong together.

 

I can tolerate it. But 90% of the time people would much rather just have pineapple without a hot nasty pizza surrounding it.

 

It's my favorite pizza topping.
