Powerball jackpots to $30 million dollars this upcoming Thursday, 19th September.

What would you do with that much money if you won?!

 

Buy a Golden house and Rocket car.


I dunno, help my parents pay off this house, then buy another one for my parents. Then buy another house/apartment for myself. Put most in the bank I guess.


Oh, and I'd go to Ikea. I like the stuff in their new catalogue.

 

$20,000 - pay off my university fees
$500,000 buy a house near uni
$20,000 - pay off my parents' houses
$5,000 - pay off the rest of my sister's school fees
$50,000 - buy an awesome car
$5,000 - buy heaps of clothes including a few suits etc
$5,000 - buy an antique desk
$5,000 - buy a new computer
$200,000 - buy the coffee shop where I work, and employ all my friends
$2,000,000 buy a retired jet-fighter

That would be a start

 

I would build my dream home.

It would be down the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, on a hill, overlooking the ocean.

It would have the best home theatre you could buy.

It would have a sports bar, long bar with a lot of sports paraphenalia, ie: huge signed photo's, etc... pool table, darts, etc...

I would have have the best computer setup in my own personal office.

I would have my own personal gym, indoor basketball half court, swimming pool, tennis court.

I would buy a family car and a sports car.

Take care of my family.

Travel the world.

Invest, invest, invest!

I'll fund the dictator of a small/insignificant country so that, one day, America would have another war to fight on CNN and gain unbelievable economic growth from their meager assets.

 

I'd set myself up comfortably. Pay off my debts and uni expenses, buy a house, take a trip around the world. Then I'd settle down and buy a vintage warbird - probably a D model Mustang. As for the rest, I'd invest it and live off the interest.

Anyway, with $30 mil, I'd probably invest in 15 or so Maccas franchises (sp?) or some equivalent thereof.

I'd try to buy all the different fast-food franchises in the one shopping centre, that way, if they were all in the same area, I'd have a virtual monoply on the fast food in said area - no matter whether people bought from KFC or Burger King or whatever, the money would come to me - plus fast food franchises can be very, very profitable. It would not be long before I started to see a good return on my well spent money.

 

I'd go around the world, paying people $1 to say a nice comment about me. I could do it for the rest of my life, and I'd never get tired of hearing, "Your a Sex Machine" 30 million times either.

 

With $30 million, I couldn't care less about profit, I'd live off the interest.


Here's my shopping list:

House in Toorak - $3 million plus
Learjet (or Gulfstream if possible) - $5 million, approximately
ATPL - $100,000 or something
Paying off my parent's house - $300,000
Buying them a new house - at least $500,000
Buying a beach house in Perth - $1 million (I like large houses)
Ferrari F40, Porsche 911 and Lamborghini Diablo - approx. $750,000 all up

Plus any number of other things, such as the best home entertainment system you will ever see, plus possibly my own harem. j/k

Half of the remainder I would probably put in the bank with some in shares, the rest I would donate to the Asthma foundation and Very Special Kids.

In my "I just won!" splurge I'd jump on a plane and travel, just go anywhere. I'd buy whatever I feel like buying - clothes, new car, Star Wars toys (hey, I'd be a RICH geek!). But after a while I'd settle down and actually plan what to do with the rest of my money.

I would buy a castle in Scotland and with the $20 or so left over, probably just a few beers....

General Cargin: I have no bloody clue how much one of those costs, but if I had $30 million, I wouldn't care.
