    The Star Wars Cantina E.U.

    From The Jedi Archives
    Location: Mos Eisley Cantina.
    Owned by: Loran ?Hope? Muak

A medium size cantina at Mos Eisley spaceport? The hive of scum and villainy!
A place where many smugglers and rebels hang out. Even Boba Fett have been spotted in the area.

Now, 30 years after the defeat of THE GALACTIC EMPIRE, many of the old rebels still seek company at the spaceports of Tattooine. Especially the old cantinas at Mos Eisley are popular?

Many things have changed, and the young corellian freighter-pilot, Loran, who never witnessed the control of the EMPIRE, are recovering after an accident. He has now bought the old cantina (Ref.: Star Wars episode IV ? A New Hope) after the former owners decease. Loran have many friends amongst the old rebels, and have done a great job with the closed down cantina, bringing life back.

Loran was born during the time of DARK JEDI leader Jerec?s defeat, and was given the nickname Hope. At the age of 8, he was sent to the Yavin Jedi Academy, and became a close friend of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, but at the age of 15, he decided to put aside all contact with The Force, and became a mercenary freighter-pilot. He bought an old corellien transporter, The Milannia Hawk, and ran the business for 5 years, until he was crippled in an accident involving the loss of his ship.

Hope soon discovers, that making friends is easy when you are a bartender, and he enjoys the work behind the bar?.

But will he be able to resist the desire to return to his mercenary ways, once his leg heales?

    We will find out?.

The Boba Fett mentioned above is -not- related to Jango Fett....

You should do a sister show, primarily humor, with some action. Action humor. Muahahahahaha!

Seriously, though; I can playwright, but I write humor better, know what I mean?

Why don't you do what the Television Studios do? Make a pilot episode and see how things turn out.
I dont have as much experience as some of the other guys here, but with the experience of making my first fanfilm - things are never as easy as they seem at first. One of a kind has now been in production for a year now and we have yet to get a single shot in the can.

    All the best,

    Neil / Pred

My humble advice is to do your first episode without any 3D modeling and such. Just do the rotoscoping and other such menial CG yourself. That way you have at least one proof of concept and good episode to show people on the forum who otherwise might be warry of assisting such a series.

    LMAO @ Shawn

More to the point, I think you should write a pilot first.

many people come to these boards saying "oh, it'll be a series" or "it's part of a trilogy" but then they find out what's really involved with making a film/show.

In fact (correct me if i'm wrong here), the only series i know that actually had numerous episodes is "Duck Wars" and that was due to the (very) low budget and requirements.

    anyway,

    Nick "Shorty" Long

    P.S. Good Luck! :)

    LOL @ Shawn also.

And don't forget the Ultimate FanFilm series! Possibly the best one ever made.

But seriously, let's hope that "preview poster" isn't a sign for what's to come. [face_shocked]

    Hey folks....
I'll be busy at the studio, where i'll allso be writin from now on....

To protect the project from hackers/virusses, we'll not have access to the internet from out there....

So from now on, u'll all just have to use ure own imagination, when tryin to figure out, what'll happen....

We might have the pilot ready in about 6 months.... Depending on certain things!

U all just have fun now.... And may the force be with u!

    Allright folks....
    News for u:

March 10th. 2003 - Manuscript and casting for the pilot finished!

March 13th. 2003 - 20 'real' episodes planned.... 3 writers are workin on those scripts atm.

April 1st. 2003 - First day of shootin the pilot of "Star Wars: The Cantina" (working title)

The pilot will btw NOT be crippled in any way.... ALL special effects and 'extra stuff' will be present.
Enjoy a fast chase trough space. Watch a terrible crash on a deserted planet (or is it?) and enjoy the good ole cantina theme from ANH.

All this and more in Cantina ep. 0 and 0,5: A Fresh Start. Part 1 and 2!
