The Mandalorian Project Necromancer

So now that it’s been mentioned in the bad batch as the future of the empire we must assume it’s definitely about cloning the emperor so let us discuss the past present and end result in TROS.

 

Bad Batch, Mandalorian, TROS and maybe Filoni's movie. All connected with Project Necromancer. We will see early versions of cloning of Palpatine with the force, see early Snokes.

 

I find it interesting how early this project already started. I mean, since this motive was not planned yet during the production of the OT now it has to be filled in between the saga films. But of course it couldn't have begun post ROTJ but must have been planned out before Palpatine's death above Endor. It makes sense so far. I like how they show Palpatine's obsession with immortality in TBB what we saw in ROTS the latest. My feeling is that this is going to be good and might improve TROS' lazyness a bit. I am in for Project Necromancer!

 

I love that the Emperor has been planning for this for so long. Like McDiarmid said recently he always has a plan B.

 

So this project must be Emperor clones. But refresh my memory please, Snoke was not a clone but a strange construct made by Project Necromancer? In any case Snoke sure is force sensitive.

 

Snoke is like probably one of the first steps in projects Necromancer

 

Yet Palpy got plenty of Snokes in the vats in TROS and he sure is a force user.
I think we will never get a satisfying explanation to Snoke. They ruined that in the sequel trilogy. I mean, he is way too tall to be a human, also his face looks kinda human but not actually human.

Having said that I would not mind if they just "forget" certain details from the sequels when they do stuff like Bad Batch.

If I had to guess by the end of the season Tantiss is destroyed and the project is moved to Exegol.

 

Question is, Exegol active at the time? Didnt he need Thrawn to map out Unknown regions for him

 

Maybe. We know Exegol was active by 3 ABY

 

Perhaps that's why there's a disconnect between things seeming pretty close to operational in The Bad Batch, and then Imperial Remnants desperately hunting Grogu in The Mandalorian. Mount Tantiss gets blown up, all data and progress is lost, and Palpatine is forced to spend the Dark Times and the OT trying to reconstruct the project, using Exegol to keep things even more hidden than Weyland.

 

The question is was project necromancer a concept made for the bad batch or the Mandalorian first? We know they were writing this season as far back as 2021. So I have to assume it was probably originally thought of for the bad batch

 

Snoke was basically designed from scratch, so I'm gonna go ahead and guess that he is the result of Hemlock's work.
My theory: Snoke's Force sensitivity comes from Omega's DNA, but they ultimately won't get enough of it, so the bodies they produce at Mount Tantiss won't have a high enough M count to be suitable for the Emperor (though still high). This is why he is forced to transfer his essence to a faulty clone of his own body as that was the only option available to him at the time of his fall. Cloning that clone isn't gonna work and this is why Project Necromancer is still up and running after ROTJ. They need someone with a sufficient M count, someone like Grogu, so that the other "Snokes" on Exegol (that have probably been transported from Mount Tantiss) can be completed. Then, Palpatine will be able to use them.

 

But the real question is what happened to Omega? The empire wouldn’t give up looking for her ever. Maybe she just went ghost and hoped off the grid for 20 years. Maybe she faked her death. Maybe she died.

 

Maybe she’s Maybelline.

 

Snoke is "born" 12 years BBY. Anyone know which year BB season 3 takes place?

Nice! Yeah I noticed Snoke's "birthyear" was 12BBY when I read about Rey's dad. He is also created in 12BBY. Now I'm guessing that he and Snoke and perhaps other creations are created in a batch that same year.

 

Although they could always retcon that

I can’t think of anything more boring than building up a background for Snoke. The worst Star Wars character since Grievous. Just let it die.
