PS2 Help Needed!

Ive got a couple of problems with my PS2 which are really bothering me...

1) Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying Parental control on DVD's? I just brought Fight Club home to study for a Media Studies exam, and i cant watch it because of that. Normally i just type in my code, but for some reason it does not work on this DVD. anyway is there a way i could permanantly turn this thing off? I dont wanna fail my exam

2) Every time i open my PS2 disc drive, it makes this grating noise, although its fine when i close it. Ive only had my console for under a year, so im not really sure whats wrong with it. Anyone know an easy way to fix this problem, or will i have to get it repaired? Does Sony have a warranty on the console for under a year?

I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out before my exam on Monday thanks

I don't know about the Parental codes.I think you should by a PS2 cleaner.Its a Disc or a CD with cleaning tools in it,Then put it in your PS2 drive and it cleans your drive and then it should stop making your sound.

Press select to bring up your DVD controls, then click on the options. Move the cursor over to the parental controls option, enter your code, then deactivate the parental restrictions.
