Pure Pwnage!

Have any of you been watching the Pure Pwnage episodes? I just discovered them and I'm impressed at how well they've captured the humor of hardcore gamers. It's great stuff! Just as a heads up, there is swearing in pretty much every episode so consider yourself warned.

FPS Doug is the best character by far! BOOM, HEAD SHOT!!!!!!!

The problem with FPS Doug is, he's not real,
You look at Jeremy and stuff, and he's practically believable, and in that comes the subtle humour and occasionally brilliantly witty and sarcastic quotes, but Doug really isn't real, he's a horribly exaggerated stereotype, and I find it really difficult to understand how people can derive humour from the simplistic, extreme nature his character.

...so, the next person to say "Boom Head-shot!" on my watch will be frowned upon, partly because you've missed the inherent depth of the humour, but mostly because I think you're an idiot.

What character on the show isn't a completely extreme and unrealistic stereotype? That's one of the things that makes the show so funny. Episode 8, just as an example, is a pretty popular one over on the PP forums and that episode is ALL about extremes. I mean Jeremy won the match by closing his eyes, meditating, and then knifing his opponent. OMG HE USED TEH FARCE!!! LOL!

Another example is Dave. I mean the dude has a cooking show now on PP and all he ever makes is stuff like french toast and some nasty looking soups.
