It's traggic, but it won't put me off from getting more piercings.

I'm not sure I like the way the writer protrays piercings though, saying they're a fashion thing, I have no interest in them for fashion, I just like them.

I wouldn't call a nipple piercing the 'mark of white trash' either, the only people I know who have their nipples done are definately not white trash, but I guess it depends on where you come from.

Poor girl. I myself don't care for piercings or rings. But if you are going to do it, please do it in a clean place and with someone who knows what they are doing. Friends end up messing things up and it can be dangerous. Maybe not deadly, but dangerous. Even small infections can hurt really bad.

 

Really? Being that you're from Lousiana, home to debachary fests like Mardi Gras, I'd thing that nipple pierceing would be near the bottom of white trashy practices.

Mardi Gras down here has been around since 1699, the first parades started just before the Civil War--it only became known for debauchery when those damn free-love liberal hippies started coming here in the 60s.

The old way still perseveres today outside of New Orleans...like in Mamou and New Roads.
