People seemed to want this, I seem to be lame, here we are.

(BTW, I don't listen to the music, I just randomly am starting it for people.)

Yeah well, I'm bored, and have no life, and all my songs are on my comp, so I have to sit infront of it to listen.

Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round

Yeah... Queen is one of my favorite bands of all time. Too bad Freddy's dead now. :(

BTW: If you don't listen to their music, and are just doing it because some people suggest it, then that's pretty lame.

Yeah, Queen is great. Many, many memorable songs. My favorite would have to be Bohemian Rhapsody, followed closely by One Vision. They were very underrated in their time.

Yeah, Bohemian Rhapsody is my favorite song of their's also, it is almost a 'rock/opera' song.

Yeah, it's definitely one of those 'epic' songs, like Stairway to Heaven or Freebird. One of the cornerstones of the classic rock era.

quite the rock opus, Bohemian Rhapsody was....... I hate the fact that it still remains known to younger people only because of the Waynes World movie...

If it hadn't been for that in 1992, most folks would have a clue what you are talking about....

I always dug Queen for their soundtrack work on Flash Gordon and Highlander....... not to mention that silly Iron Eagle movie.

Yes, Bohemian Rhapsody is definetly a favorite of mine. :)

Say, does anyone know what the songs they did for the movies Highlander and Flash Gordon are called?

Edit: Oh? They did one for Iron Eagle? Guess I'll actually have to see that film again. :p

That's a good point Space. My uncle had a whole collection of Queen albums, so I basically grew up with it. I used to run around the house screaming 'WE WILL WE WILL ROCK YOU!!' :p

What would be a good album to get if I wanted to start a collection of Queen CDs?

I like their stuff, just never got around to buying the music.

The Flash Gordon song is called Flash. The Highlander one I can't remember though...

If you want a good album, try a Greatest Hits album. Those are always good. I have Classic Queen and EVERY song is great. The rest of the songs I have are downloads.

Well, I definitely liked the current Queen Elizabeth when she was younger but now I think she's a bit of an old dragon.

Queen Victoria was a good ruler, but the old Queen Elizabeth was probably the toughest Queen to rule England anyway.

I'm not sure if you could class Bodicea as a Queen, she was leader of a celtic tribe and people often refer to her as Queen. That's an interesting point really.

This is a good thread that appreciates Queens. I think Kings get all the limelight when the Queens were often just as interesting.

    She's a killer Queen
    gunpowder gelatine
    dynamite with a laserbeam
    guaranteed to blow your mind.
