I can't remember two things off the top of my head, and I'm wondering if someone here might remember.

First off, I know that in The Dark Nest Crisis, Luke and Leia learned that Padmé was their mother. I know that Ghent managed to access R2's memories, allowing Luke to see what happened between Anakin and Padmé on Mustafar. What I don't remember is if R2 gave an explanation as to why he kept those files a secret from Luke. Did something like this happen:

After seeing the memory of his father using the Force to choke his mother to unconsciousness, Luke turned to R2 and asked, "Why didn't you tell me?"

R2 twittered, and a translation came onto the screen, "You have already made your peace with your father. I didn't want you to experience any new resentment towards Anakin."

Secondly, I know that Luke's order knew more about the Prequel Jedi by the beginning of Betrayal than they did before the Yuuzhan Vong War. I know from the Wookiepedia that Luke found Djinn Altis' mobile academy, which was around during the Clone Wars. It was from this mobile academy that Luke's Order gained their knowledge about the Prequel Trilogy Jedi. I also know that the second ship had been named Chu'unthor as a retcon. What I don't remember is when did Luke find Djinn Altis' ship? Was a specific date given, or a general time period? As in "12 years after Luke began his academy", or "in the time between the Black Fleet Crisis and Kueller's terrorist attacks"?

The Skywalker Order also re-discovered the Great Holocron shortly before Betrayal-- this is likely how they learned the bulk of what they now know.

I have the Jedi vs. Sith Guide, so I know they discovered the Great Holocron and Palpatine's holocron. I was wondering about Djinn Altis' ship, since the Wook was a little vague as to when it was discovered, and I don't recall if a specific date of discovery was indicated.

Since the only reason the second Chu'unthor exists is a retcon, there's probably no concrete date established for when Luke found it. He found the first one in 8 ABY.

I thought that Ship was Yoda's moblie training vessel?

It was the ship in Courtship of Princess Leia.

I'm not talking about that ship. Yes, I know the one in COPL crashed on Dathomir was called Chu'unthor, but that happened four hundred years prior to the Battle of Yavin. I'm talking about Djinn Altis' ship, which I believe was first mentioned in Children of the Jedi. The one where Callista Ming trained as a Jedi. That one was around towards the end of the Prequel-era Jedi Order. That's the ship I'm asking about.

No. As far as we know, he hasn't found it, nor has anybody else.

Really, we know nothing about the second Chu'unthor.

EDIT: Though, looking at the Wook, it appears that Tempest indicates that Luke learned about Aurra Sing from the Chu'unthor, meaning it was found.

Since Luke's order knew about Aayla and Aurra Sing, we can infer they learned about it at 40 ABY when they got the Great Holocron. But now that I think about it, I think in Destiny's Way, Luke mentioned they did a search and found that Thracia Cho Leem did have an apprentice named Vergere. In light of that, and having established that they found the Great Holocron in 40 ABY, I'd say they found the second Chu'unthor before the Yuuzhan Vong war. But that's my reasoning.

There are other ways he could have found out that kind of information, though. Other holocrons or information from the ruins of Mount Tantiss come to mind. Besides Wookieepedia, is there any source that confirms Luke actually found the second Chu'unthor?

    Just another thought.

    "Chu'unthor"

Does anyone else read that and think wookies?

Given the growing relationship between certain jedi (especially longer living green ones) and the wookies...could Chu'unthor be retconned to have wookie participation on the project?

We could be talking about either ship at this point.

I will always remember that moment, when I saw Artoo speak to Luke in his ship. For the first time ever to be seen in a star wars book. Not that crap he "spoke" in Rebel Stand. Actual conversation. Swarm War needs to be gilded in gold.

No, because the word is Cerean for Academy.

Pretty sure R2 had a conversation with 3PO in the ROTS novel first.

And the classic to Threepio: You're right, NO ONE can be more confused than you are.

I wanna see that dialogue Ben Burrt gave to him! [face_praying]

Pfffft! We've seen Threepio and Artoo talk to each other a killion times. I'm talking proper talking, conversation, between Luke and Artoo. A first.

    Memorable.
