question about the buttons on vader's chest

if someone tinkered around with the buttons on Vaders chest could it cause hazerdous results for vader? Does Vader actually use those buttons himself on his chest for a reason? hooman

 

the buttons are there just because thats how Lucus designed it. It may also be the controls to his life support.

 

Actually, he just has one all-puropse button for his life support, like the one on Padme's cruiser.


I think the other buttons include a coffee-maker, and the controls for his iPod.

 

I can't imagine anyone would get the chance to mess around with Vader's buttons. I imagine he'd lack a sense of humour about an Imperial officer suddenly lunging across the desk just so he can press the 'mocha decaf' button.

So, the buttons definitely go to Mr. Coffee and Mr. Radar, which don't work. As you've probably noticed, all you hear are the swishes (we've lost the sweeps, the beeps, and the creeps).

I think the big red button Vader only uses for recreational purposes. It cues up "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" and he uses the Force to make everyone around him boogie.

I bet Vader used that music feature in the Cloud City freezing chamber while waiting for Luke to show up. That place was like one big disco!

I remember seeing a behind-the-scenes photo of Carrie Fisher circa 1976, during the filming of the movie. Remember the part where Alderaan is about to be blown up and she goes "nooo" and Vader pulls her back against his chest? This photo showed a mischievious-looking Leia reaching back and hitting some of those buttons, which were practically on eye level with her!

 

Hey, if you ever wanted to piss off Vader, you could literally push his buttons.
