Qui-Gon is Sifo Dyas

A massive star wars fan i am, and have the theory all figured out about who sifo dyas is.

Ive done my homework and research from the films,special features on the dvd,my mind, pen and paper and well little interviews from Lucas that have posted on theforce.net.

You should all get a coffee coz this may take some time coz of alot explaining.

Ok have my book of theory out here we go..


1.First let me just say that who would of thought that Vader was Lukes father when people like me watched star wars for the first time and knew nothing about it, my point is, is that it was a shock big shock for me to hear know that.George has said a few times that its gonna rhyme with the last, new trilogy ryhmes with old.Big shock to find Qui-gon is Sifo Dyas.


2.George has said thru interviews that we are gonna know alot more on Qui-gon in Ep3, mostly background info.

3.I personally think that there was a jedi named Sifo Dyas but wasnt qui-gon.If qui-gon is Sifo Dyas why have a secound?and if it was his secound name why would he hide it?either way it wasnt hidden coz yoda and mace know him or her.And they would know automaticly that he created the army.This is the only thing im not sure on.The only thing that is holding me back is that yoda and mace know that sifo is Qui-gon,but doesnt want to tell Obi wan.like obi and yoda didnt tell Luke that vader is his father.member its gonna ryhme.But if that is true then whats bad about it to hide the truth, could Qui had a connection to the darkside,did he esperience something like this when he was young before taking obi wan as a padawan.hmmmmmmmm not sure many answers for that one.

4.My Theory:

There was a Sifo Dyas that was in the jedi council but then died.This is around the time of Phantom Menace.Qui-gon knew the corruptions of the senate,which he decides to do something about it pretty much was it.Qui gon was betrayed by the dark lord and came to Dooku for help and told him everything.Qui-gon uses a dead jedi name for cover up coz if he used his own he would be in trouble if the council and jedi's knew that qui-gon created an army behind there backs.So he uses a cover up name(Sifo Dyas) makes a request for army and says that the senate ha sgave him his word and permission to do so.Around this time palpatine sux up to Dooku like he does to anakin in ep2.And dooku is now under palpatines orders dooku has revealed everything that qui gon told him and palpatine plays along with it and agrees with dooku that the army is a good plan.Sidious knows a good bounty hunter(janga)and tells Dooku that we would have the best army if they made clones of him.Dooku then tells qui-gon, he agrees.Janga is now used to make clones.
Dooku is now on the dark side Dooku wants power and is fully tricked by sidious and knows that the clone army is bigger then the droid army,but pretends to the geonosians that he doesnt know anything about the army.

He then tells the truth to the geonosians after they have build the death star.so if has used them to make such power station.


5.Everything fits in watch ep2 and every scene when they mention Sifo Dyas.Write it down give me your theory's.

The only thing im not sure is that maybe Sifo Dyas might be a fake name for qui gon, or maybe qui gon is a fake name.Either way Qui use sifo,or sifo is qui.Its him no matter what.I think

maybe dooku told qui gon about sidious and his attempt to rule the republic. Maybe at this time dooku was already on the darkside and told qui gon that he will need an army to stop sidious in the future.Maybe quigon told the council about this and told qui gon to go and get the army under the name of sifo-dyas (as he died the same time as quigon prolly the same person) and as sifo-dyas sound an awfull lot like sidious maybe it was the councils way of having there own laugh on sidious.But the only prob is that sidious planned this all along, so the council thinking they had an army to defeat this sith lord in the future was planned by sidious so when he became supreme chancellor he would have control over this army not the jedi.

 

I think people are strecthing with the Sifo-Dyas theories. He was just some Jedi whose name Palpatine or Dooku used to comission the clones.

In early drafts of the script the clones were commissioned by a Sido-Dyas, which is obviously a play on Sidious.

There's nothing to suggest Qui-Gon had anything to do with the clones.
