Qui-Gon's First Padawan?

Who was Qui-Gon's first padawan, I know Xanatos was his second, but I've never read anywhere who his first padawan was?

 

Really? I was always under the impression Xanatos was his first... didn't it say in the JA books he was Qui-Gon's first apprentice? ?

 

I think Xan was his second, so that does bring up a good point

 

Yeah, cause he had to complete someones training. That's the only way you can become a Jedi Master.

 

No one knows who the first was, only that #1 did become a Knight. From the EpI Visual dictionary, we know Qui-Gon had 3 Padawans, with #2 failing to become a Jedi Knight. Jude W. made that one Xanatos.

 

Yes, Xanatos was the second, Jude W. created him for the JA books, and for my story I wanted to mention Qui's first padawan. Or make a story about 'em.

 

Now there is where the fun is. I read somewhere that Qui-Gon finished the training of a padawan, possibly a padawan whose master had died.
I can see a lot of plot bunnies for that one.

it leaves us a lot of room to speculate and write.

 

Read "The First Four Days" or my "Wayward Beings"--both have a character named Waqkeme, who was Qui-Gon's first Padawan.

 

What a pity! I had a Litertaure thread on this just this year, but I wouldn't know where to find it. Dev Binks, if you want to search back in my backlog of posts I'm sure you'd get some good discussion on it.

The NEGTC was recent; and if Jinn's first apprentice was unnamed there, then it hasn't appeared in any other source. Xanatos was definitely his second; and in Jedi Apprentice 1: The Rising Force, Yoda called Jinn a Jedi Master. You only ascend to Master after your apprentice ascends to Knighthood.
