Quick question about Grievous

In his last battle with Obi Wan, how fast exactly were both of them moving? I don't have my novelization of Epi III with me, and I would appreciate it.

 

I read this book not even a week ago. Unfortunately I already turned it back into the library, but it said something about Grievous moving VERY fast. Obi Wan had to just deflect the blows and keep his lightsaber close to his body. Earler in the novel Grievous punched a Neimoidian in the face, but his fist moved so fast that it killed him, so that shows how fast he moves. I remember some reference to it looking like a storm maybe or something along those lines. If no one gets to it before me I'll check it out tomorrow.

 

I don't have it in front of me, but it's possible the speed implied by the novel's passage is somewhat faster than what we see on screen.

 

Or do you mean the speed of their chase scene?

 

The book said Grievous was either launching up to 20 attacks per second, or 20 attacks per lightsaber per second.

 

Judging by the preceding posts, I calculate that he was moving significantly faster than this:

It's twenty attacks a second; presumably this means five per lightsabre per second.

 

Well, Grievous is made out of metal. You don't have to punch that hard to make serious, possibly fatal, damage.

 

Yeah, but if I'm not mistaken it basically destroys him.

 

He didn't die, he just changed his name to MC Squishy Bleedy Face.

 

Ludicrous speed.
