    Hey jadox-ra,

I've made one....but I've only got pics of the Quinlan Jedi costume on my site. However, here are two pics of the Quinlan "Korto" Vos disguise costume on my photobucket account:

For prop pics, visit my site: www.jediagent.com.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Good luck!

^I saw you at DragonCon this year. Very good costume and the first one that I?ve seen.

Since Quinlan Vos was mentioned but not seen in ROTS, does that make him canon?

Thanks BluePhoenix. I believe since he was mentioned in Ep3, he is a canon character :)

He is also in the background in a scene in The Phantom Menace, where JarJar gets in trouble with the merchant on Tatooine for trying to eat whatever that creature is without paying for it, then getting Sebulba mad because it splashed into his food.

So he is definitely canon, since he's been on screen.
    ;)

    Hey Jedi Agent,

First of all awesome job on the costume, the others beside you were equally as cool!

As far as the costume goes I do have one question, I'm trying to locate or make Quinlan's chest armor, be it leather, metal, or some other material, and also his shoulder guard on his right shoulder with the emblem, did you make yours or purchase it?

    Jadox-ra,

Thanks for the compliments. :) The only part of my costume that was purchased was the wig. I created all the hard parts/props/leatherwork while the sewing of the soft parts was done by HothGirl. If you'd like to email me at jediagent [at] jediagent.com (replace [at] with @) and I'll be able to give you further directions on how I replicated the parts.

Which costume of Quinlan's do you plan on replicating, as he wears 5+ costumes throughout the comics?

The costume I created was based off Korto Vos and took months to complete. I don't want to discourage you from making the same Quinlan costume, but if you'd like to complete it by Halloween you might want to chose an easier costume of his to replicate.

I remember seeing a storyboard (or maybe it was in the comic book) which briefly showed him during the ?execute order 66? scenes. We see him for a few moments before he?s blasted by his troopers. It obviously didn?t make it into the film and I doubt that we?ll see it as a deleted scene on the DVD. I don?t think it was even filmed.

I agree. That is a great costume. :D

I found Jan Duursema's site one time and she had picks of making Doug's (her sig other and the basis for Quinlan) costume. Unfortunately, I can't remember where that site is now! [face_plain]

I should have figured that out.

There are some pics at the bottom there, but not many.
Play around in the link section. I know there was a bit more detail somewhere.

EDIT: I found this on Padawan's Guide: clickie

I met Doug at a con last month and he told me that Jan actually had him in a bathtub to create the mold for his chest/shoulder armor. He had the actual armor at the con but I didn't think to inspect it closer or ask him what specific materials were used. I even have a pic of myself with him not 6 inches away from the armor...I could kick myself for not looking closer :( Super nice guy, he spent about 20 minutes showing me his portfolio. You may want to try contacting him directly, perhaps through Jan's website. I actually didn't know the two of them were a couple.

The new Insider has a small article about the fate of Quinlan Vos. There are a few panels in the ROTS comic adaptation of him getting whacked, but Jan and (I think) John Ostrander (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm too lazy to go look) are going to give his death justice in the Republic comic.

    *scratches head*

I met Jan's husband at CIII ... it wasn't Doug.

And she met Doug and Doug became her model after the character of Quin was created.

Also, Doug's armor is leather. Molded to fit him perfectly. He basically has to be 'sewn' into it everytime he wears it.

I'm fairly certain Jan will tell you about the armor and the construction process if you drop her a line. JediAgent may also remember some more of the details.

Also, Doug's Quinlan attire was made from leather wet-formed to him. Jan explained that she literally has to sew him into the costume evertime he wears it. Fun huh?

PS: His costume is a different than the one I replicated.

    Really?
Sorry then. I just always see them together at the cons and everyone in my group thought that they were a couple. [face_thinking]
