All right, I'm trying to compose a list of all the species and races (sentient and non) that have the natural ability to use the Force in some way. I composed a list of all I know below, but if anyone has any additions, I'd be grateful.

Also, if Palpatine was so concerned about other Force users, why didn't he enslave or destroy the sentient species that had built-in Force users?

-Dashta eels: Force-sensitive creatures; used to make Jedi-hunting battle droids
-Dathomiri: All had connection with the Force inherited from Jedi ancestor
-Kiffar: All had connection with the Force; used it to read memories from inanimate objects via touch
-Korunnai: All had connection with the Force; used it to 'meld' with animals
-Massassi: Had natural/alchemically-induced aptitude with the Dark Side (I think?)
-Miraluka: Use the Force for vision
-Rakata: Had natural connected with the Force, which the last descendents eventually lost
-Sith: Had natural aptitude with the Force (again, I think?)
-Terentateks: Were linked to the Dark Side, and fed off of Force-users' blood
    -Vornskrs: Hunts using the Force
-Voxyn: Hunts Force users; can blanket its appearance in the Force
-Ysalamiri: Pushes the Force away from its surrounding area

The races of Force-sensitives are one of my major irritations with the EU. Having the Jedi only be one public 'faction' of Force-Users, and a small one at that (10,000 is tiny compared to the population of planets), just doesn't sit right with me.

Hmm. I'll add the nobility of Vjun, who bred for Force-sensitivity and then all went crazy. Probably the best-executed one, but still a little silly.

All Neti (the sentient tree species best exemplified by Ood Bnar and T'ra Saa) are supposedly Force-Sensitive.

There are also a bunch of Force-using creatures in the Power of the Jedi RPG sourcebook from Wizards of the Coast.

The Dathomiri seemed to have some Forceless commoners, and I've never seen anything to suggest that Kiffar psychomentric abilities are a significant manifestation of the Force. It could be; I just haven't heard that.[face_thinking]

I think Jan or John stated that they were somewhere. However, I think that the Force powers aren't common to all Kiffar, just the Guardians (or whatever sub-set Quin belongs to.)

Interesting. You'd think there wouldn't be all these Force-using policemen out there without the Jedi feeling extremely uneasy about it, though.

    Yeah, taozins.

There's the Iktochi (or is it Itkotchi?), the species of Sasee Tiin. They had natural telepathic abilities. Gands have intuitive abilities.

Yep, the taozin are one of the creatures mentioned as being attuned with the Force in Power of the Jedi. Other creatures in the book include:

--Beck-tori: Leech-like creatures with the ability to accentuate their abilities and heal themselves with the Force.
--Jakobeasts: Herd animals that resemble giant tigers with horns and tusks that can use the Force to push opponents.
--Marsh Haunts: Hideous creatures with peeling skin and red eyes that use the Force to frighten prey.
--Muttamoks: Creatures resembling a cross between foxes and primates that use the Force to influence other beings to feel friendly towards them.
--Nighthunters: Predators that use the Force to increase their stealth and combat skills.
--Thernbees: Creatures that use the Force to communicate their emotions to other beings.

We might be able to make a case for Yoda's species being completely force sensitive, as every member of his species we've seen has been a Jedi Master (granted, it's only three, but still...).

Three? I know about Yoda and Yaddle, but whose the third? Oh, do you mean Vandar from KOTOR?

Senator, what is the source of that Ruusan Yodian? [face_thinking]

Someone should dig out Ultimate Adversaries; I think there were some Force creatures in there.

There's the Ssither, who are telepathic, and the Duinuogwuin star dragons who naturally have Force abilities, AFAIK, but about 1 in 3 develop force powers. They have about 50 feet too lol.

    Hssiss also, presumably.

And I just read Twilight. Tinte says that "the Guardians do not fool with the Force or its Dark Side." I really think the psychometric abilies are a non-Force-related thing. Also, Asante lacks psychometric abilities anywhere near Quin's, and it's made pretty clear no one else comes close either. So I'd say the Force is enhancing a natural talent. Even if psychometry is Force-related, the Guardians are still fairly Force-weak, having this one small talent. It's likely the same with the Miraluka. Force-assisted vision, and little else.

Here're the ones from Ultimate Adversaries:

Crown of Silk--uses the Force for perception

Sith Familiar--a product of Sith alchemy

Starweird--apparently has multiple Force abilities, and is said by some to be a manifestation of the dark side

I believe the Gotal are said to have limited force ability. That's how they are able to sense people's emotions.

No, proximity to a Forceful user just TV-statics their heads. The Duingowuin were rumoured to have a similar reaction.

Would you count the Ysanna of Ossus, or do they just count as a bunch of Jedi-descended humans? I guess what I', getting there is what constitutes a species? If the Dathomiri count and they have a common Jedi ancestor, how would that make them different from any other Jedi that crashed somewhere and decided to procreate? (granted, I know very little about the Dathomiri other than what is revealed in the Darth Maul comic and JAT, if theree is some major difference between Nightsisters and Ysanna that allows one to exist as a separate species, please enlighten me)

Also, could Ysalamari count? I think it's been postulated/retconned/confirmed that they use the Force, just on a different frequency, to counter the abilities of a vornskr.
