I thought Maybe we could discuss Tier of Powerfull force users from the movies and tv shows. Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Baz Edit: Edited thread title for clarity
Tier 1 (Ultimate Force Users) -Palpatine/Yoda/Rey (End of TROS version. The comment "I am all the Jedi" is probably literal) Tier 2 (Extremely Powerful Force Users) -Vader/Luke/Obi-Wan/Kylo/Mace Tier 2A (Powerful Force Users)- -Qui Gon -Dooku -Ahsoka (End of Rebels) -Kanan -Maul Tier 3 -everyone else, i.e., those largely wiped out by Order 66
I would put Maul in Tier 2 A- minus with all we have seen of him in clone wars and rebels. He brought down a star destroyer and deadly without a lightsaber. Even if Palpatine was playing around, Maul mantage to hold his own for a while. Not to mention he pure anger saved him from death and he survived.
Tier I Palpatine/Darth Sidious Rey (all the Jedi amp) Yoda Tier II Mace Windu Luke Skywalker Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader Dooku/Darth Tyranus Obi-Wan Kenobi Maul Snoke Kylo Ren/Ben Solo Tier III Qui-Gon Jinn Kit Fisto Leia Organa Solo Tier IV Finn That's it as far as the Skywalker Saga goes
Tier 1 (Ultimate Force Users) Mortis gods/Priestess of the whills/Palpatine/Yoda/Rey (I'm all the jedi) Tier 2 (Extremely Powerful Force Users) Anakin-Vader/Luke/Mace/Obi wan/ Ben/Kylo Tier 3 Powerful Force Users) Maul/Ahsoka (end of rebels)/Dooku/Ventress/Qui gon/Kanan/Ezra (by the end of rebels with his connection to animals)
Maul is Tier 1. His combats, intuitive, telepathic, strategic and manipulative skills and mastery of the Dark Side of the Force and how the Force is always with him is remarkable. Maul also dominated his brief duel with Secura and Windu at the same time. Jinn is Tier 1 too, he was an extremely powerful Jedi and the first worthy to become a Force Ghost . Without him there would be none of the others in these films. I'd put Dooku as Tier 1 as well. Talzin is also a Tier 1. The Mortis Gods were on a Tier 1 level too, but they were as weak as they were strong . They seemed too bound to the Mortis monolith that also amplified their powers and the powers of all who were within it. The place itself had that effect on the Force. They were just weird in general. The Father also appeared to be the main source of their power in the episodes. Rebels kinda turned them into universal deities of some ancient kind but aside from their mural and The Son's voice(sure Dark Siders cannot be spirits lol) we don't know enough about them. Luke is more a Tier 2 level and well below Anakin. From ROTJ to TLJ, he more regressed than progressed. I don't think he's a very good swordfighter either. Rey beat him in their lil duel. Rey, Kylo and Ventress are Tier 2 levels. Rey's a lil weirder cause she's part clone Palpatine. But Kylo overpowered her in their one and one match up(TROS). Rey without the Jedi spirits interfering would not of survived Clone Palpatine whom easily dominated the both of them in record timing. I never seen anything like it, they just were in no way Tier 1's.
I'm going by all canon (films, TV, comics) Tier 0 (almost infinite power) Father Son Daughter Tier 1a (extremely powerful & skilled / practically unbeatable) Darth Sidious Yoda Tier 1b (extremely powerful & skilled / almost unbeatable) Mace Windu Darth Vader Luke Skywalker Count Dooku Mother Talzin Tier 2 (greatly powerful & skilled) Obi-Wan Kenobi Anakin Skywalker Ahsoka Tano Darth Maul Tier 3 (very powerful & skilled) Kylo Ren Asajj Ventress Kit Fisto Savage Opress Pong Krell Tier 4 (powerful & skilled) Rey (without all the Jedi) Qui-Gon Jinn Kanan Jarrus Grand Inquisitor Shaak Ti Ki-Adi-Mundi Plo Koon Aayla Secura Luminara Unduli Eeth Koth Adi Gallia Depa Billaba Quinlan Vos Jocasta Nu Tier 5 (good but has much to learn) Ezra Bridger Barriss Offee Nahdar Vebb Seventh Sister Fifth Brother Eighth Brother Snoke is too hard to place with what little feats we have of him. I'm tempted to put him on the same level as Yoda and Sidious, but I dunno.
Tier 1 Darth Sidious Yoda Tier 2 Mace Windu Darth Tyranous Anakin Skywalker (varies depending on mood) Tier 3 Obi-Wan Kenobi Darth Maul Qui-Gon Jinn Tier 4 Luke Skywalker
T1 - incalculable potency: The Ones + Bendu + Anakin T2 - Yoda + Sidious + Rey + Ben Solo T3 - Luke + Maul T4 - Dooku + All High Council Members (Obi Wan, Mace, etc...) T5 - Ezra, Kanan, Cal, Inquisitors + other average Jedi Knights
Unpopular ranking. Maybe you will find it questionable - but I can say that I had my thoughts on it.... Tier 1a · Darth Sidious · Rey (Vessel Mode) Tier 1b · Yoda Tier 1c · Mace Windu Tier 2a · Obi-Wan Kenobi · Darth Tyranus · Anakin Skywalker Tier 2b · Luke Skywalker · Kylo Ren · Qui-Gon Jinn · Ahsoka Tano · Darth Maul · Darth Vader Tier 2c · Rey Skywalker (Normal Mode) · Savage Opress · Asajj Ventress · Kanan Jarrus · Plo Koon · Ki-Adi Mundi · Other council members Tier 3 · Average Jedi · Average Inquisitors
My view of Rey in TROS is that she was in some kind of once-off Avatar state for that one final battle, so I'm going to place her in a tier that I feel reflects her 'normal' ability level by the time of TROS. Everyone else is based on their peak level in the films. Tier I Sidious Tier II Luke (TLJ), Yoda, Snoke (?) Tier III Vader Tier IV Mace, Dooku, Obi-Wan, Maul Tier V Rey, Kylo (not really sure though, hard to compare them to the rest of the saga given the relative lack of character continuity. I put them down here because I'm just gonna assume that based on their age and level of training they have a lot to learn, even though their potential is top-shelf) Then everyone else.
Anakin on Mortis The Father The Son/The Daughter Palpatine (All the Sith) Rey (All the Jedi) Luke Skywalker at his prime Palpatine (Base) Yoda Darth Vader Anakin Skywalker I would say these are the top 10 strongest. Snoke is said to be equal to Palpatine but considering how broken his body is and how he needs his Guards k feel he isn't a powerful combatant 1v1.
