I was struggling what to include in this poll. Should I include every show? Star Wars resistance, rebels, TCW, CW, Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi, Visions? Droids? Ewoks? How deep should I go?

I just decided to go the easiest route. All canon shows which have had multiple seasons.

But if in your own replies leave your rankings for the other shows.
1.) Rebels. It goes back and fourth between this and the clone wars, but Rebels eeks it out

2.) The clone wars. See above.

3.) Bad Batch has a lot of potential to be one of the best if not the best of the bunch.

4.) Resistance. I still haven’t finished it but from what I saw it was okay. Not bad not great.

I'm torn between Clone Wars and Rebels. Hard not to choose Clone Wars out of pure nostalgia and the fact that it's a longer series. But Rebels definitely deserves votes.

I have the same ranking as JKF, although I decided to include Tales of the Jedi since it's canon (and also great). I love the first two almost equally, but ultimately I find Rebels more compelling because of its tight focus on the main cast. The only one I'm not fond of is Resistance, which I just found disappointing and ultimately pointless.

    1. Star Wars: The Clone Wars. In my opinion one of the greatest western animated shows of all time. In my top three. It has amazing rewatchability and lends itself well to overanalyzing and fanon. Is there anything quite like this show? At times it's like a 90s action cartoon that comes wrapped in CGI that starts off clunky but by the time you get to "Landing at Point Rain," the quality consistently goes up til it's over the moon. Unless you watch it back-to-back with episodes of The Bad Batch or Tales of the Jedi, the animation from season 4 onward still holds up. But, The Clone Wars isn't just about looks. It's about the journey rather than the destination. It's this amazing anthology that's like looking through portholes. Portholes into the journey of Anakin Skywalker and the important events around him. Ashoka is a vehicle to explore both him and the happenings around him. Captain Rex along with Domino Squad collectively provide both a point of view and cradle-to-grave exploration of the clones themselves. TCW was surprisingly character-driven and capable of developing compelling characters with just one or a few appearances. The Clone Wars in spite of the familiar wasn't afraid to try crazy new things, delve into the lore, explore politics, and sometimes meander in philosophy as is the case with the often-maligned season 5 D-Squad arc. But more often than not took crazy ideas like Clones having to deal with a Jedi traitor, Obi-wan faking his death to go undercover, and resurrecting Maul and executed great story arcs. Even giving Anakin a Padawan in the first place falls under this category. The Clone Wars makes my lesser favorite things in Star Wars better.

    2. Rebels: Rebels has a more standard familiar faces of five formula and a tight linear narrative. But that tight character-driven focus lends itself to great character development. Characters like Kanan, Hera and Sabine are largely what keep the show interesting. Rebels never strays too far from Lothal or spends much time exploring the wider galaxy around the main characters. Thanks to Sabine we explore some with the Mandalorians. It plays it safe and keeps things familiar until around the final season. We follow what would be among the most vanilla shonen protagonist if this was an anime and his found family. Victims of the Empire and War. A Jedi who escaped Order 66 and is easily the best character of the lot. Who rally to the cause of the Rebellion and navigate how to go about it. By the time we get Thrawn he's a tad underused. There's action, heartbreak, and drama. Plenty of highs. Familiar faces from The Clone Wars return to continue their stories when TCW was canceled. It's a good show in its own right.

    3. The Bad Batch: Almost doesn't seem fair. BB's first season has been the only one to air. Underrated as season 1 of TCW is, it's still not the strongest season. I feel similar about Rebels' first season. The Bad Batch is a fun animated series that really shows off what Star Wars animation can do. Has some great action pieces. It starts off with probably four great episodes and builds a fun arc around the inhibitor chips with the threat that the lovable big guy Wrecker is going to lose it. Crosshair also makes a compelling antagonist and shockingly complex character given how he was introduced in The Clone Wars. The biggest weakness in my opinion is way too much focus on Omega. Omega is cool but no one else is getting a chance to develop. Hunter gets some character development bouncing off Omega. Wrecker probably got the most up until his big moment then was shoved in the back. The plots are similar in a few episodes. Also the indecision in exactly which show it wants to be like. The Bad Batch for a lot of the season uses slow endless build-up like The Mandalorian then tries to switch to a more Anthology Clone Wars-like style which is jarring. I am much looking forward to season 2 and more Star Wars animation.

    4. The Resistance, this show is about what I'd expect a show about Poe recruiting a random kid and dropping him off at a truckstop as a spy would be. It's flanderized characters and some Star Wars action. I've only seen the first 5 episodes and haven't made much more progress. Don't hate the show... just got distracted from it and need to go back and watch more. Haven't seen enough to write more.

Well, this is much easier than ranking the live action shows!

    1. TCW
The show that has it all.

    2. Rebels
Easily the most rewarding Disney era Star Wars creation so far.

    3. TOTJ
A refreshing anthology series that I'm eager to see more of.

    4. TBB
A solid follow-up to TCW that depicts the horrifying transformation of the galaxy in a captivating way.

    5. Resistance
A nice little adventure show that I'm currently enjoying a rewatch of.

The Clone Wars - The more I watched, the more I got into it and the further it got, the more important it seemed
Rebels - Same comment for this as TCW really
Tales of the Jedi - Hoping for more, was cool to get some backstory to 2 important characters
The Bad Batch - Just doesn't seem that important overall, but still enjoyable. Interested to see where they're going with Omega
Resistance - Haven't watched it, really not interested

1.Clone Wars (it's my favourite star wars ever made)

2.Rebels (incredibly close second, this show is fantastic)

    3. Bad batch (also very good)

    4. Resistance (it was good for what it was and there were actually some pretty good episodes in the second season)

    1. The Clone Wars - Monumental, epic, sometimes goofy, sometimes emotional, always fun.
    2. Rebels - A great concept, which was a bit stifled by its rush out the gates post-Disney. Its high moments are very good, and Chopper is great.
    3. Bad Batch - It has the potential to surpass Rebels one day, for now it’s a meandering adventure. The animation is quite good.
    4. Resistance - It had an identity crisis from the start imo, wasn’t sure of its place in the franchise, and doesn’t leave much of an impression. But to be fair, I haven’t finished it. The animation looks good.

    1. TCW - the show that truly renewed my interest in the franchise for the first time since Lucas re-released the OT in '97.

    2. Rebels - The follow-up to TCW, where we learn that yes indeed, Ahsoka lives!

    3. TBB - I'm growing to like the stories featured in this series; especially the tie-ins to TCW characters like Rex

    4. Resistance - This show was just geared to a far younger audience than the other shows; none of the characters really grew on me at all.

    1. The Clone Wars: it was my only Star Wars experience growing up outside seeing ROTS in cenima. So many great new characters like Ahsoka, Rex, Ventress, Hondo and Bane. And revisiting characters like Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme from PT trilogy era. Some of the best momments in Star Wars is in this show. Like Mortis, Clone arc with Fives and Yoda's arc to name a few.

    2. Rebels: this is toss between best of the animated Series. Such good start to the beginning of the OT civil war era. Good characters in all the main cast. Kanan and Ezra’s relationship is just so good and different from other Jedi relationships. Season 1 begins small and trough to Season 4 we gotten so many great story arcs for all characters. Sone good villains like Grand Inquisitor and Grand Admiral Thrawn. More of the fantasy like WBW and dpace whales. It ended strong.

    3. The Bad Batch: The show is still ongoing but do far a good start. With telling us how the clones get phased out and Kaminoans killed off. Showing the empire across the Galaxy. Good clone characters in clone force 99. New character in Omega Fett.

    4. The Resistance: Its an ok to good show sometimes. The lead os a goofy Jar Jar kind of character sometimes. He is a good pilot. We see some of the galaxy before TFA and explain some of Starkiller origin. Dome good Poe Dameron here. Big monkey alien that was only seen as small. Too little on the Resistance.

    1. The Clone Wars
So much variety and depth regarding lore and exploring new and familiar characters.

    2. Rebels
Really enjoyed this series and it has some of the best animated SW episodes in history.

    3. Tales of the Jedi
Great mini episodes; looking forward to more.

I'd add Forces of Destiny which are fun little micro stories featuring female characters from SW.

I haven't watched enough of The Bad Batch or Resistance to rank them.

    1. The Clone Wars.
The best Star Wars storytelling that exists, probably will never be surpassed. If it wasn't animated, I would also consider it the best Star Wars, period. Ahsoka Tano is one of my two favorite SW characters ever, in a perennial tie with Luke Skywalker. Anakin's journey in the Clone Wars is phenomenal. We see a lot more about the Jedi of the old, and we get to familiarize ourselves with characters such as Plo Koon, Aayla Secura and Kit Fisto. But the element that just elevates this show to the top is all the lore about The Force that we can see in some of the best stories. Everything that has to do with the Nightsisters, Palpatine's knowledge of the dark side of the Force, the beings of Mortis and Yoda's journey on Moraband is the stuff that I loved the most.

    2. Star Wars Rebels
Picks up from where the Clone Wars left off, by introducing a whole new set of now classic Star Wars characters, such as Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus aka Caleb Dume and Hera Syndulla, who will all be explored a lot more very soon. Again, the lore about the Force is what elevated this show for me. Stuff like Bendu, the World Between Worlds, holocrons, Malachor and how it all binds with Ezra's journey made it great content. Again, storytelling at its finest, long live Filoni.

    3. Tales Of The Jedi
I am including this because I consider it a certainty that it will be followed by more seasons. I think very few Star Wars fans wouldn't want half a dozen seasons with 12-16 episodes each ideally, but what we got so far will have to suffice for now. Yes, I am cheating by including it, but I am optimistic for the future.

    4. The Bad Batch
Great content. Not as great as TCW and Rebels (yet) but I am hoping it will be elevated as well in the future. After all, all of these Filoni shows were simplistic in their first season, so I am expecting to watch this one's career with great interest moving on. Hopefully it will explore the lives of some surviving Jedi that we haven't seen yet in the Empire era, such as Quinlan Vos for example.

    5. Visions
I know it's not canon and I know it only has one season so far, but Visions was a lot better than I expected. I was expecting to not like it at all, since I am not an anime fan at all, but the storytelling in half of the episodes was excellent. And the art style very very good. I would easily watch an entire live action show of multiple seasons based on the plot of The Ninth Jedi. In retrospect, there are only 2 episodes that I didn't like much. The one with the droid that wants to become a Jedi and the one with the stupid rock band on Tatooine, which was just cringe all over the place.

    5. Star Wars Resistance
I watched 3 episodes and gave up. It was utterly boring to me, in an era that I have no interest of watching, and the animation style was just not my thing. Everyone says it improves later, but I don't see it improving to the level it would need to improve for me to actually really like it. Maybe some day I will go back to it. For now it's at the bottom of my list.

Rebels, this has the best characters and a really well told cohesive story, and I just like the early rebellion era stories

Resistance, really this should be in last place because of the annoying main character, but I like the animation style and really some of the secondary characters are pretty interesting and the ship designs are great

Clone Wars, there’s some good stuff, but I’m just not a huge fan of Anakin, also not really interested in the clone characters, the Padme episodes are generally not good, Ahsoka is ok but I think she’s most annoying in the early seasons of this

Bad Batch, the animation is cool, but again I’m just not interested in these clone characters at all, Omega is fine, easily one of the more likable young protagonists in these animation projects

I hope we get other types of animation then just what we have with Clone wars/Bad Batch/Rebels.
