(A/N: This is my first fanfic that I'm posting here. I'll probably keep writing after this one if people like my kind of writing because I'm constantly getting new plot ideas. Special thanks to my good friend TaRionne for getting me back into the Star Wars writing mood and basically dragging me to this forum kicking and screaming. Also thanks to my girl for making me read the Darth Bane novels haha. Well without further delay, here's Red Tide.)

    Red Tide
    Part 1: Path of Anger

It was dark. It was cold, dark and damp. Brandon couldn't think very much, he was numb. He had no memory of how he got there or for that matter what time or day it was. He had very precious little memory as he was. He was human, he knew that, he was a man, and he was a Sith Apprentice. Come to think of it, there wasn't much else that was useful to know about him. Brandon sat up in his bed slowly propping himself up against the wall. A small tingle in his the back of his head let him know that someone was coming. He waited patiently until the familiar click of the lock sounded and the metal door creaked open letting the harsh firelight into his cell.

?Arise, young one. Your training is not yet complete.? the blackened silhouette said in a gruff voice.

?Yes my master.? Brandon answered almost mechanically.

He willed his limbs to work, to hoist his body up off the floor, but they groaned and cracked in protest. Brandon grimaced and used the pain to enhance his connection to the Force. He drew in its unlimited energy into his weakened limbs and it gave them new life. He sprang up from the floor and walked around his room. Before practice, as somehow Brandon's mind knew it was time for, he looked in the mirror of his room. The sight of himself was intriguing and he pressed his fingers against his mirror as if examining a new artifact for the first time. He had long black shoulder length hair. His eyes were an enchanting shade of green, though they seemed haunted and stricken by pain as well as sleep deprivation. His skin was a nice brown tan but it was not a smooth tan, but rather his skin was rough and scarred in many places. Brandon finished examining himself in the mirror and stepped into the hallway making his way to the practice hall. He looked around the hall as if seeing the place for the first time, he noticed the walls and floor of this place were made of finely cut stone. This triggered something in his mind, he remembered he was on Korriban. He was training to be a Sith Lord in the grand Brotherhood of Darkness. His mission was to elimate Jedi and to further the control of The Brotherhood of Darkness.

    You Killed Him...

A voice echoed in his mind, it triggered nothing. He couldn't put his finger on it but the voice was familiar somehow. Brandon dismissed it and kept walking along the hallway until he mechanically found the practice room. It was an open-ceilinged area of the Academy, with a slightly raised floor in the center of it made for duels. Surrounding the raised area were students like him, or rather not like him. There were a number of species in the room, Zabrak, Human, Mon Calamari, Cathar, and even one Quarren. It was odd for him, he felt like he should know them but their names didn't even come to mind. The instructor, or rather Blademaster, of the Academy was a tall twi'lek with broad shoulders and an uncanny aura of hate about him. The Blademaster walked over to Brandon and delivered a gut shattering punch to his abdomen. Bradon blinked and looked down at the fist in his gut, it took what seemed like an hour for the pain to reach his nerves as his eyes suddenly bugged. A voice echoed in his head again

It is no loss, he was weak. The strong will survive and the weak will perish.

Tears came to his eyes and his knees slackened.

    Take him to the morgue

He crumpled over onto the floor and his world went black.

?That was for being late? he said snarling ?I haven't yet decided your punishment for forgetting your blades.?

A shame, he had so much potential....

This is wonderful and very skillfully depicted. All I'd say is... well... it's great!
