Anyone else who is amazed by the great amount of wonderful, classic cartoon themes used in Spongebob Squarepants and Ren and Stimpy? They share a lot of similar music only tracks. Chase themes, happy themes, panic/ horror theme.....

Anyone who can name a few performers?
    I only found out these:

    The Blue Hawaiians
    Tiny Tim

    Sage Guyton & Jeremy Wakefield
    Steven Belfer
    Brad Carow

Though, these names aren't of particular help.
I can only name a few examples of tracks I'd be looking for:

    Happy/ Laughing theme:
Seen in the Episode where Spongebob and Patrick unfreeze Man-Ray. Sets in when they active the tickle belt.

    Heroic theme:
Heard whenever Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy get into adventure.

    Horror/ Panic theme:
Featured in the episode where the Krusty Krab is opened 24/7. As the light switches start flickering.

    Chase theme:
It is very jazz-like. Can't remember which episode, though it featured a boat-car chase.

If anyone else is as interested in those classic-cult themes often featured in cartoons and know where to get those or what their titles, post 'em. Where do they come from? They are amazing.

I've heard that heroic theme on the Simpsons, when Homer hires Fat Tony to eliminate Marge's competition for Pretzel selling.

    Right you are.
If anyone remembers, the laughing theme can also be heard in a MTV cartoon short with the bird and the cat sitting in a tree and the bird keeps flashing his butt to the cat.

As you mentioned, Tiny Tim was on Spongebob. I searched for "Livin' in the Sunlight," but the album is out-of-print. However, Maurice Chevalier sung it eighty years ago. Chevalier was referenced on The Simpsons as a celebrity potato chip.
