    Not bad, Corran_Fett. Nice layouts on all the wallpapers. I'm not too familiar with the game itself or its characters, but I think you did a pretty good job showing each troop's personality and role in the game. :)

    I've got a couple of sketches for my fanfic Rho and Kappa squads in the works - Rho Squad is done, and I'm trying to at least get the Kappa Squad one outlined by Sunday. I also have their ARC advisors - one done, one that needs some work. They won't be all that good - my art skills are not fantastic and I have zero computer drawing skills, so I just traced the same RC wallpapers that Corran used for some of his Lambda Squad pieces and drew in different backgrounds, which my art teacher would probably say have poor depth and shading. Same story with the ARCs, just traced screenshots from Battlegrounds and added a few features like different weapons.

    I'll post these when I get them finished and if I can find a way to upload them to the 'Net.

    Eh, what the heck, I thought the camo patterns and names I came up with looked good ;)

    i just got done sketching out my own stuff. I'll have to upload it and photoshop it. Its done like comic art.

    I just finished Republic Commando, Hard Contact last night. The ending nearly jerked a few tears out of me. It was a great book.

    Nice work, guys! It's interesting seeing how everyone interprets pretty much the same character. A clonetrooper is pretty straightforward and simple, yet every one in this thread is different and has a style of its own. Excellent job! Keep it up! :)

    Wow! It's like seeing the game, and never having to buy or play it! All of this is wonderful--very powerful and dynamic--I can almost hear all the battle sounds! Very good stuff (and Corran--what you're doing constitutes "art" as much as anything else here--it requires composition and skill, and is "art" as far as I'm concerned! ;) )!

    Well, not "art" in the meaning of "drawing" on paper... - I only took old pictures and added new color...
    "real art" is what I think about "drawings", "paintings" not made on PC but on sketchboard...

    but thx anyway :D

    And here we finally go.

    Background: Rho and Kappa Squads, along with Tau Squad (which I may draw and post later) were assigned to General Lissa Ilvia and the assault ship Majestic in Selachian space. Rho and Kappa squads were each teamed with a six-member Selachian SpecForce unit, a Selachian fleet liason officer, and an ARC as unit commander.

    Operational Detachment Rho

    Captain A-22 "Raptor"

    [image=http://img222.exs.cx/img222/7757/a220fz.th.jpg]

    Given his name by Jango Fett for his choice of a Z-6 jet pack to reach high shooting perches. A sniper by specialty, his weapon of choice is a modified non-issue BlasTech A280 heavy blaster rifle. A meticulous planner, Raptor prefers to set up about a kilometer away from his prey and rain down fire - and at closer ranges of 350 meters or less, the weapon is quite capable of cutting a Baktoid B1 battle droid or armored humanoid in half. For backup, he prefers a brace of Bryar heavy blaster pistols. Independent-minded like most ARCs, he will always ask for details on the purpose of his mission. Off the field, he's an intellectual prone to collecting every bit of knowledge from demolition techniques to Jedi philosophy.

    Quote: "What use are the Jedi to public good if they never actually interact with the people?"

    Rho Squad

    [image=http://img222.exs.cx/img222/5579/rcrho3fk.th.jpg]

    RC-2036 "Tiger" - Sergeant of the squad, Tiger is committed to completing jobs and bringing his troops back alive. It's an unspoken code that no Rho will be left on the field dead or alive. When not killing people and breaking things, he tends to stop and smell whatever form of nature they're in.

    Quote: "Don't worry, the sonic shields will keep the firaxo sharks away. Now on Mon Calamari, they'd attract krakanas."

    RC-4077 "Hawkeye" - Pulling double duty as squad medic and sniper, Hawkeye seems to solve the conflict with a sarcasm-laden sense of humor. An expert prankster and card shook, he's the team's morale-booster.

    Quote: "I love it when the Seppies come out with the new fall line of weaponry."

    RC-8324 "Riptide" - The squad's demolition man, Riptide is an artist at heart, using just the right bomb in enough quantity to allow for a little overkill.

    Quote: "Two proton grenades and a line of det-tape along the bottom of that turbolaser tower should drop it right on the armory there - and a Class-A TD should make for a nice secondary."

    RC-1062 "Surge" - Electronics tech and combat engineer, Surge is in love with gadgets. The oddest member of the squad, he spends his free time designing booby traps and exhaustively researching the squad's next planetfalls. Given his proclivity for trivia, he's the designated intel man.

    Quote: "Teuthis Sector, from Old Corellian meaning 'tentacles,' used in reference to the Coleid native species, which have now been completely overtaken by TradeFed flunkies."

    Operational Detachment Kappa in next post!

    Operational Detachment Kappa

    Captain A-10 "Thunderbolt"

    [image=http://img222.exs.cx/img222/6837/a1015ws.th.jpg]

    ARCs usually operate alone, but A-10 and A-22 have managed to arrange their assignments together for most of the Clone Wars despite a major contrast in tactics. While Thunderbolt believes in planning his moves ahead, he usually prefers to lay waste to opponents with shock tactics at relatively close range. His weapon of choice, a six-barreled BlasTech T-24 rotary repeating blaster, conforms to this habit. The result is a large armored figure bursting out from cover at a dead run behind a spray of blaster bolts, after which a lot of carnage and destruction ensues. Less cerebral than Raptor, Thunderbolt is generally inclined to shoot first and ask questions later, as opposed to shooting second.

    Quote: "Rule 37: There is no overkill, only 'open fire' and 'time to reload.'"

    (Note - apologies to Howard Tayler of Schlock Mercenary for borrowing from his "Seven Habits of Highly Effective Pirates")

    Kappa Squad

    [image=http://img222.exs.cx/img222/6122/rckappa5je.th.jpg]

    RC-6250 "Five-O" - Sergeant of the squad, Five-O is all business. Typically heard barking orders to his commandos, his life is about doing the job and nothing else, although he full well realizes that bringing his men back alive will mean their readiness for more service to the Republic.

    Quote: "Riff, Torg, get over to that corridor and rig some surprises."

    RC-8063 "Stitch" - Stitch is a medic very much in need of "physician, heal thyself" - he's practically a walking ad for Katarn armor and medpacs, largely due to his courageous (some would say deranged) efforts to keep his podmates safe. Not afraid to charge into an open field of fire blasting at anything seeming to threaten a downed brother, his voice is distinctively distorted from a throat injury.

    Quote: "No tinny is getting one of MY brothers!"

    For the last two Kappas, apologies to Pete Abrams of Sluggy Freelance.

    RC-2708 "Riff" - Riff is Kappa Squad's demolitions man and combat engineer, and he's lethally good at it. His squadmates might say he's a little too fond of his arsenal of things that go bang, because he always carries them around - even on ships or bases - and he's prone to taking the lesson "P for plenty" a little too literally. Generally laconic and laid-back when not under fire, he seems to have no grasp of how unnerving his habits are.

    Quote: "You know me, I never leave any unused explosives lying around where just anybody can find them."

    RC-1997 "Torg" - The squad's computer/communications expert, Torg has what might best be described as a "quirky" sense of humor and questionable people skills. Best to just let him slice his way into a target and shoot whatever disagrees.

    Quote: "I'm into the security chief's files - whoa, I did not need to see that."

    Good job, guy :)
    Interesting u took the ARCs' names and designations from famous aircrafts (F-22 Raptor and A-10 Thunderbolt). Only thing I've to mention: ARCs are not allowed to customize their armor like Commandos do. They actually may customize nohing but their equipment ;) - and would be very nice if u painted your art - so we can see what colors they have ;)
