The 40 minute score is composed in the style of John Williams and quotes certain Star Wars themes. This music must be distributed freely.

    enjoy,

Yeah, I forgot about this... Shane had asked me to make a record in the hosting pool for this. So, now I will...

    Linked goodness will follow.

How many threads does one film need?

    Very cool. Downloading.

EDIT: Hey chris. Dude. You should make it a little more noticeable your copywrite thing, telling people not to use it in thier productions.

You might even want to allow the download on a "request" basis. There's gonna be alot of suckers who don't give a crap about breaking rules or respecting a composer or using it in thier films or whatever who are gonna use it in thier movies anyways and even do it publicly. (you know who you are, all of you).

Anyways, great score Chris. I'm gonna burn it to a CD. It's gonna spend some good time in my player. :) Thanks man.

EDIT2: Wait, am I allowed to burn it to a CD?

you are encouraged to burn it to CD! The score is meant to be distributed for free, as is the film.

As for using the music in other productions, officially, permission would first need to be granted by Shane @ panicstruck productions & myself...

    AH ok. Cool!

But yeah, you should put a little thing towards the top of the page in red letters saying that people need to request permission and put your email addy or something there. :) Just a thought.

Chris, I just wanna say that I loved the work you did on our soundtrack. So appropriate, and so Star Wars-y and yet original at the same time. The fact of the matter is I can't get the danged music out of my head. You da man, man.

I´ve heard the soudntrack two times now and I´m very impressed of it. A nice adition to the originial filmscores. The only thing I am missing is this nice transition from "Rebellion begins" to the end credits. Did you take the beginning of the credits from the original score or mix it yourself? Cos it´s not in the soundtrack.

I really appreciate your comments, thankyou very much! Also, much thanks to everyone who helped with the music, especially Lindsay Anne Klemm who provided the vocals.

I hope you enjoy listening to the score as much as we enjoyed creating it!

Darth_Bone: If you're interested, pm me and I can send you a version with the end credits transition. i think we chose to cut this for the sake of ending tracks cleanly amoung other reasons.

I just listened to it. Great job Mr. Bouchard, wherever you are.

Just one little thing that I can't shake. Is it just me or does anybody else think the "Rebellion Begins" theme is ungodly remeniscent of Han and Leia's theme from ESB?

    Well, back to lurking....

Thanks for the Mirror, DV User. appreciated :)

You're right about "The Rebellion Begins". It is rather reminiscent of a certain romantic John williams theme, although not a direct quote. We were really going for a recognisably starwarsish feel with that track right at the close of the movie.

The score was made using Cubase as a sequencer, with realistic MIDI controlled orchestral sample libraries (EWQL Symphonic Orchestra) and some recordings of real instruments (bassoon, choirs, solo vocals).

so it's kindof a mix of real recordings and a lot of detailed MIDI control programming. thanks for asking!

Let me take this opportunity to lift my hat and bow deeply that you would give your precious time to us unworthy worms of the Revelations production.

I have never heard such fantastic orchestration out of a bunch of samplers in like ever. I would have no clue as how to acheive such fantastic results, and I have produced music for 20 years!. My hat is off, my shoes are off, and I am kneeling before you in awe.

Fantastic work. The haunting vocal sections are fabulous (although some claim they are more LotR than SW, who cares?). Also I love the reorchestration of the opening music, and I cannot for the life of me understand those who complain about that....

Crunchy: I used a PC. In fact, I used 2 running in parallel, 2Gb RAM is never enough :)

Thanks for your kind comments Zapper sir!

I have updated track 22 ("Choices") and a new version is now on my site. It's longer and the sudden cut off at the end has been cleaned up.

Also, there will be an updated CD cover and CD back cover soon due to popular request.
